I just received a call from this number on my cell.  Did not recognized this number and went to vm.  This person - a male with a heavy accent like from pakistan or india - couldn't make out his name clearly.  It sounded like he said that he was Chief P.D. Marshall.  Says committed fraud and that I needed to call back that number and ask for Deputy Calvin Brown.  This is his last warning and if not call back in an hour then they would come to arrest me.  This call was in the morning and now its in the afternoon.  I'm still here....

I also just received a call. The gentleman said he was Sheriff Officer Shawn Hudson (heavy pakistan/india accent) with Alabama Police Department and that there was an arrest warrant issued against my Social Security Number. I asked him for his badge number and he gave me 634AN72, I've never known a badge to be more than three or four numbers. He also said he was in Center Alabama, Alabama County, Alabama.

These people are on the FBI fraud list .... Ask them questions, they can't answer you .... Tell them they are on the fbi's fraud watch and if they call again, you'll call the FBI, they'll usually stop calling.  (go to FBI.gov and search payday loan scam/fraud)

My husband got a call today stating that he had committed fraud and was going to be arrested. He told my husband his name was Deputy Marshal.  My husband called me and stated he didn't know what it was about.  I called the Sheriff's Office in Birmingham, AL and was alerted that this may be a fraud.  So I got the number that my husband received the call from, 205-717-2609.  A man with a heavy Indian accent told me that my husband had committed fraud because he had taken out a payday loan and in 20 minutes a warrant for his arrest would be issued and he would be arrested the next morning by my local attorney general.  My husband and I have never taken out a payday loan or even applied for one! I asked him where he was calling from and he stated the Birmingham Police Department.  My husband and I live in Savannah, GA.  I asked to speak to his supervisor, but was told he was the only one there.  I thanked him and hung up.  When I got online and reversed the number, I found this website.

I received a call that I have recorded from "David Marshall" about a crime against my business and to call immediately to 205-717-2609

Sheriff Office in Alabama - Man named, David Marshall, 205-717-2609, ext 170 called my Federal Government Agency saying he was coming to arrest me for fraud and taking action against my social security number.  He talked with an accent  and didn't give no no information about why he called.

the same heavily accented woman keeps calling me, insinuating that I a in serious legal trouble and to call back.  The same caller called using another number yesterday.  I have chosen to download a "silent ring tone" for $1.29 and add it to my contact list under the name >do not answer<.  Each time I get a call like this I will add that number to that contact list.  Eventually they will stop calling.  You might want to turn off the >vibrate< on your phone as well.  From everything I have read these numbers and claims are fraudulent... and some foreign companies get a hold of your phone number and do not have to follow the national DO NOT CALL registry rules.  SO... if you can't outsmart them - at least you can ignore them.  Just like a bully - if they dont get the reaction they want everntually they'll find someone else to pick on.  Thats sad... so educate yourself and your loved ones so you dont get scammed into their little game.

number 205-717-2609, number 646-658-3167, number 646-658-3169- all FRAUD numbers. They tried to tell my daughter that she owed money from a payday loan if she didn't pay, then the police would come and arrest her and to have her attorney ready.  I called them back and told them that my name was different than the name they called for- and then they said that I ALSO had a payday loan and the same story came out. Very HEAVY eastern indian accent. So, I called them, back and harrassed them, playing stupid and stuff...... talking to all of them telling them that my answering machine had broken and I had accidently recorded their entire conversation. They didn't want to talk to me anymore after that.....  HA HA on  them. Why not harrass them for a change????

i am real mad for few call too rude and assult on me i am senior and deaf and his voice is very heavy indian accent and he rude and said pay for payday loan  i not said no he said get me arrest for 30 min and rude and waste time i not accept it and he mad and keep call me few time please stop it now

i keep getting this call it is getting to the point its harrassing they call me at least 6 times a day. WHat can i do to stop them from calling, they are even calling from blocked numbers. All info posted is the exact info they gave me. They want me to write a letter and faxing them stating i will give them four dollars on my payday, i laughed and told them to take a hike.

should be 400.00 on my payday, he is a very rude indian man, he dont let you talk. he just said attorney general will have me arrested by the end of the day.

Received a call on my office phone today from 205/717-2609. The voice was that of what seemed to be an asian or east indian woman with a very thick accent. The message was left for one of my employees telling her that she better return her call or the sheriff would come and arrest her and she could only pray for her.

I knew it was the call from these no talent want to be con artist and I would have been upset that they are calling to my place of business but I almost fell out of my chair when the caller said her name was sheriff Tina Brown with her heavy accent. She could barely speak english.

I pray that nobody falls for these STUPID scams. They are so rampid now that you can smell them from a mile out.

These people have been calling my work number and a co-worker's number who is only one digit off - it's humiliating and now the entire 300+ office thinks I'm involved in some kind of police action.  I need to do something - any ideas?

This number called my work and my co worker called me all upset and said that this guy stating he was calling from the sheriff office in Alamba David Marshall same number 205-717-2609 and i needed to call him ASAP or else i would be arrested!!!! i have received this call before last month and ignored it and it seemed to have stopped, but here i go again!!! I have notified the fraud department at my local police department and we will see, I will also be calling the FBI fraud dept.
I hope that someone puts a stop to these SOB's!!!!

I just received this call and will be reporting this number to the FBI Fraud Dept this number keeps calling and calling me for money, I dont owe any momney to any one. I will be reporting this scam

I received 2 calls from this number, answered both got no response.  My brother's gf called me soon after freaking out saying some sheriff's dept called her saying I had a warrant for my arrest. I asked what the number was, and she gave me the same number that had called my phone twice. I called them back and the phone was answered "SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT" I asked what sheriff's dept it was, and why they were calling my brother's house telling my sister in law I had a warrant, and was told somewhere in Alabama, by a man with a very thick Indian/Pakistanie accent. He then tried to tell me I was being investigated by the FBI for fraud, because I got a payday loan online that I never paid back.....Never had a payday loan in my life! When I told him he was full of POOP (in not such a nice way), because I have never even been to Alabama, nor have I had a pay day loan, he said "fine we will arrest you and your brother!" and hung up....later I had my neighbor call the number from her phone, give him a made up name, and he told her she also had a warrant.
This man also read me my social security number.

IF YOU'VE RECEIVED ONE OF THESE CALLS - KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT.  I received one of these calls today, and they were looking for one of my employees.  The fact that "David Marshall" had a thick South Asian accent and I had to ask which county and which state his "sherriff's office" was in seemed fishy to me.  I looked up the phone number online for the real Montgomery County, AL Sherriff's Dept. and called them.  They told me it is a scam that's being investigated.  They also told me to notify my employee of the situation and that she should pull her credit report and keep monitoring it for quite a while.  If these people get enough of your personal information to have your work number or your relatives' phone numbers, I would report it to the authorities!  CHICAGO - I would give your employer a link to this page so they can see that you're the victim of a scam, not someone who's in trouble with the law!  :)

I hope they can help. A indian man I think, he talks in a very rude way, saying I am about to go to jail.He said his name is David Marsall. These sob's, has your cell, your work #. That's not right. I hope nobody falls for that----
