Caller Id just says Birmingham AL, no answer. Saved the number in my phone with the ID of Pest, they'll call back.

We are getting so many calls from this number and others, who will not answer a call back or leave a message. I would very much like to have them leave me alone. This is my private phone and it is not their right or obligation to pester me, constantly!

They called at 11:42 am on the 4th of July. Did not leave a message.  

When I later called back, got a fast busy signal.

The "goodbye" could be a predictive dialer. Either that or they are calling ALL numbers to see which ones are valid for future calls.

I guess the "do not call list" means nothing to them.

I have received calls from this number, too, on several occasions. I do not answer the call. And I, too, have been on the Do Not Call Registry since its inception. If, indeed, the calls are coming from ADT, or a telemarketing company working for them, then those who do not like receiving these calls, myself included, should contact the company directly. Also, keep in mind that American Express, along with more and more banks, and other companies are selling their membership lists, including information about your buying habits to other companies. These companies, in turn, feel free to call you, too, unless you contact them directly, and tell them you do not wish to receive these calls. Even then, I regret to say, there is no guarantee that they will stop the practice. Send complaints to your state's Attorney General's office, or directly to the company making the unsolicited calls. You may also file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, if you are receiving such calls.

Automated male voice trying to sell GE Home Security systems (if I put the sign out) and the system was free.

This is a SCAM.  They are not using the Do not call list (which I am on)

Hello, We have received 2 calls from ADT after being told to have us removed from their call list. They continue to call because we are not the "Home Owners". The home owners are my grandparents. My grandparents are not interested in ADT services and do not need extra solicitation at this time from ADT. The last representative that called was EXTREMELY rude. If ADT likes to disrespect the wishes of people and be rude, we certainly would never use them even if we were interested.

Side Note: My grandfather, one of the home owners, is in the hospital. Almost died less than a week ago. When we said that my grandparents were not interested in their services, we were serious and do not appreciate having our request to be removed from ADT's mailing list lightly.

Something needs to be done about this caller.  I am retired and feel that I deserve to have some peace in my own home.  This number calls mine excessively both day and night.  I am in Birmingham.
I am registered on the do not call list.  The list seems to make no difference. Making a complaint on the list site has no effect.   Is there no enforcement associated with this list?

I am in Birmingham and have received multiple calls from this telephone number.  I was receiving repeated calls from a carpet cleaning cleaning company a couple of years ago.  I wrote to the company with no results as well as the Public Service Commission.  Only after the 2010 election cleaned out the do nothing PSC members, did I finally get results.  I wrote to the PSC as soon as the tide changed at the beginning of this year.  The folks now in power down there finally got the calling stopped.

I asked them why they do not pay attention to the do not call list so they called me back 5x within 30 minutes. Trying to find out how to report them for harrassment now
