This is a scammer. I received a call from this 512-477-0300 stating that they were the IRS and I was being sued and that this was the last time that I would be contacted and to call 206-201-2445. I called the Austin # 512-477-0300 back first and there was a disconnection recording that came on, so I then tried the Washington # 206-201-2445 and it just rang until finally a recording came on stating that your call is being disconnected at this time. So if the IRS wanted to contact you please believe that you will received something in writing from them first and they will request in writing that you contact them and give a very specific number to call back and speak with someone. So please do not fall for this and give anyone any of your personal information and please report all call to the do not call list so that they can be caught and prosecuted.

Lets pray for the people who have time to play on the phone trying to scam people.
The recording said,  This is the IRS,  we have been trying to reach you.  This is our last and final attempt.  Please call 206-201-2445 immediately.

Got an automated voice mail telling me that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and this would be my final notice. Message instructed me to call 206-201-2446 immediately...when I tried number got another voice message stating there no one was available; however, the message did not indicate that I had reached the IRS office.

Based on other comments above and the comments I found on the IRS offical website I am sure this is a scam...following statement was from IRS.gov website

"WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service issued a consumer alert today providing taxpayers with additional tips to protect themselves from telephone scam artists calling and pretending to be with the IRS.

These callers may demand money or may say you have a refund due and try to trick you into sharing private information. These con artists can sound convincing when they call. They may know a lot about you, and they usually alter the caller ID to make it look like the IRS is calling. They use fake names and bogus IRS identification badge numbers. If you don’t answer, they often leave an “urgent” callback request.

“These telephone scams are being seen in every part of the country, and we urge people not to be deceived by these threatening phone calls,” IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said. “We have formal processes in place for people with tax issues. The IRS respects taxpayer rights, and these angry, shake-down calls are not how we do business.”

The IRS reminds people that they can know pretty easily when a supposed IRS caller is a fake. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never:

1.Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill..

2.Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.

3.Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.

4.Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.

5.Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.
If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking for money, here’s what you should do:

•If you know you owe taxes or think you might owe, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS workers can help you with a payment issue.

•If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to believe that you do, report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) at 1.800.366.4484 or at www.tigta.gov."

Called the number and got a man with an Indian accent, who told me that a lawsuit was being filled against me and my wife, which is strange considering that I don't have a wife, when I asked why the lawsuit was being filed, he hung up and when I called back there was no answer.  SCAM !

Received automated call saying that I needed to contact 206-201-2445 because this was the final notice from the IRS about suing me.  Did not return call because I have received no letters from the IRS indicating any sort of trouble.  Instead I looked it up on internet, and I see that it is a scam.

We just got this message. I immediately checked Google, I did not fall for it. IRS would not call, This is just a phishing expedition, Everyone knows that quite a few people do owe taxes, or think they might have been busted, perhaps some will end up sending money. or bank details. DON'T DO IT!

The caller ID today came in as 630-653-9660.  Message left was to call 206-201-2445 because we were being sued by the IRS.  We have taken the position not to answer any land line call EVER again.  If no message is left, we know to leave it alone and block the numbers....and certainly hope everyone knows that the IRS does NOT call people on the phone threatening to sue them.

12/17 and 12/18/14, I got fake calls from a number pretending to be the IRS seeking money.

Here’s details of a multi-state scam involving people seeking money posing as the IRS. The calls may be happening around Ohio, so it would behoove the Ohio Attorney General and/or the IRS to check it out.  At least one call that I know of also in Lorain, Ohio, to my father-in-law’s nurse, who lives in that northwestern Ohio city.

It’s multi-state because you get this list of complainants when you Google the number to get this link. It lists people from all over the country who have been contacted as potential victims. If you do get through, the person answering appears to have an accent that may be from the Indian subcontinent (unconfirmed)

Both callers to my private home number happened in sequential days, and both said suit by the IRS was pending and that the caller “has been trying to reach you.”

12/17, first call from the “IRS” showed on caller ID as “Dandy Mini Mart,” at 607-594-4641. When you call back, it says, “disconnected and no longer in service. 607 area code is in New York state (Binghamton, Elmira and Watkins Glen area). That southern NY area borders on Pennsylvania. A Google search shows at least 60 franchised Dandy Mini Marts in that PA/NY area.

That automated call said to call 206-201-2445. One call back to that number, a live-answer person said, “IRS.” They hung up when the return caller explained they’d been contacted about a debt – but asked the person at the 206 number which city the branch IRS office was in. The person answering the call then hung up.

12/18 robo-call from no-name other than caller id of: Roselle, IL, 630-582-0473. That automated call also threatened and will be filing suit by the IRS, call our branch office, at 206-201-2445. The 206 # just rang and rang in three attempts to call it on 12/18.

When you call back the 630 number in IL, it similarly says, “that number is no longer in service, or has been disconnected.”

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
