Called twice today 3/23/16. Left a message to return call about an urgent matter. He identified himself as Officer John Koskanen. Sounded like a scam IRS call. I did not return the call.

Got a call from 206-207-0310 with a message that said

Voicemail from (206) 207-0310
"This message. You need to call us back on our department number 206-207-0310. I repeat it's 206-207-0310. As of as a matter of urgency. I'm looking forward to speak to you. Thank you. Goodbye."

I called them back and spoke to a man from India with a heavy accent.  He identified himself as an IRS Officer,  Douglas Reed Badge# 145796.  He said I owed a few thousand on taxes and that if I paid it before they send it to court I would save $10,000.

Recieved a call from 206-207-0310. Very heavy accent and hard to understand. Said that it was IRS and that we owe taxes from 2008 or 2009. When I tried to verify the first name of the person they was referring to, was told that I can just wait a couple hours and they would come arrest me. Couldn't verify if the first name was Tim or Tom. Wanted address so they could come and arrest anyway. Last I knew, IRS has complete names and address's. I told him he was a scam and hung up.

My mom received the same "recorded" message today. She hung up. I believe it is a scam.

Received a Call today, 3/25/2016, from 206-207-0310. I looked up the number in White Pages on-line and it came back saying 206-207-0310 was an invalid number. The voice sounded like a male computer voice. Message:
Identified himself as Officer John Koskian(sp) you need to call us back as it is a matter of extreme urgency.
Had a call several days ago from the same number, giving the same name, but voice sounded like it was in an echo chamber.
I did not call as it seemed like a scam.

Hoping people are smarter, John Foreskin........wish I had an old school modem to program and call back non-stop

Received the same call a few minutes ago and googled the number before I returned the call.
Thanks to all who posted here regarding the scam.

My wife received the same call today - 3times in 40 minutes and I'm in the building where IRS is located waiting on jury duty

Please say you did not give them any information. Those idiots need to be arrested and put in jail.

Sam message, same person, fake IRS agent. They don't call and say anything they send letters. Scam scam scam.

To be clear I meant that the IRS does not call people. They send letters and give you a certain number of days to reply. And they certainly wouldn't use an electronic voice. Seriously.

Do not reply to this call.  It is a scam!

I received the same message as everyone else!  Thanks for the advice not to call back!

Received two calls today from the above number with the same message from the IRS and from numerous numbers.  They are 206-207-0310, 1800-252-3563 and 509 573 0491.

Message 2x today, 3/28/16: started out giving a case number, saying he was officer ___ , that it was an urgent matter, and to call 206-207-0310. The male recorded voice said he was "looking forward to talking with us". The second message was the same wth the addition of being from the IRS in the message.
Right, I bet he is because they might get personal information they can use to scam us.
Anybody with half a brain knows that the IRS WILL NOT CALL YOU!!
It is very simple: if you have caller ID and/or call screening, DO NOT answer a call from an area code you do not know or a number you do not recognize. AND NEVER GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFO TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW. If you do answer the phone and someone is using scare tactics, ASK THEM for their supervisor and phone number so that you can verify who they say they are. Most likely, they will not give you that information.

Listened to same message as others then hung up.

Got this message yesterday. It is a scam. Do not call back.
