I suspect this is yet another scammer, given the nature of the robo voicemail that was left saying I had a complaint filed against me. They stated they had my social security number, left a case number, and asked me to call back at 888-283-5647.  There are a number of reports of scams attached to that number. Block!

Phone calls are NOT  notification of anything.  Should they call again, demand written proof MAILED (post office) of the debt.

I also got a call from this number saying there was a complaint against me and they had my social security number. One of the things that tipped me off that it's a scam is they had my married name from fourteen years ago instead of my current name. I too will be blocking this number and I would advise anyone else to do the same.

I have had them call me from two different numbers saying I'm being sued for 4000 loan with chase bank I went to chase because that is my bank but I never took a loan out the bank called them from my phone and started asking questions they hung up I blocked them now they are calling from this number and saying they have a complaint they do have my ss# so I put a watch on all of my credit I told the women knowing I didn't it was a scam she tried to tell she was in my state and that it wasn't a scam I laughed and told her give all the info and she hung up I'm so sick of the scammers

I received a call from this number advising me that a complaint was filed against me with my social security number. They told me to call 888-283-5647 or press 8. They included a file number or reference number. I am not familiar with any complaint that should have been filed against me. Please advise.

It's a scam I get calls all the time saying the same thing it's a scam they have my ss too don't call them back

Called at 7:38 PM  Caller ID shows UTD CANC SUP FD.  From reading other posts about this number, it must have been utilized by a scam outfit soliciting donations to what might be the United Cancer Support Foundation. I just let the phone ring and it did not go to voice mail.

Called this morning at 8:15am, caller ID just showed "Seattle WA".
I turned the phone on and before I hit the off button some "woman" spoke my first name. That was all as I hot the off button and then added the number to the blocked list.
Not sure what the scam was and hopefully will never know....
If it's a legit call you should be able to find something out by searching the phone number online - nothing online for the number is a great indicator of scammers.

Called at 8:30 PM  Caller ID shows UTD CANC SUP FD.  I researched this outfit before and it is one of the worst rated charities.  United Cancer Support Foundation.  Do not answer and do not provide any information.  They are not based out of Seattle and are using a phoney number

I got a call at 08:05 am from a women who called me by name stating "you are harder to reach than cookies on a shelf"  then quickly solicited money for a cancer foundation and then transferred me to a "verifier" who tried to get a credit card number and home address.

Receiving multiple calls from this number.  I choose to never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  There have been no messages left on the answering machine.  Maybe it is time to get rid of my landline...it costs me too much to be annoyed by these calls.

Charities or ones we know by mail never by phone. I never give any info to these scammers.

Caller ID read Seattle, WA 206-212-0457. As we have friends from there I pick up. Confused since they usually call my other line.  However this was my business line. A bit confused I gave my business greeting.  Then without delay this gal says my name like she was a friend, while I was trying to figure exactly who she was. She then  says  'You're harder to get ahold of than cookies on the top rack', telling me she's from the Cancer Research Foundation.  Immediately she launches into her spiel. She talks fast and loud.  When I try to tell her I'm not interested, she keeps right on talking.  Raising my voice to get a word in she keeps going without a breath.  I shout that she needs to stop talking as this is my biz line & her calling me is costing me clients.  She is suddenly silent and as if muttering under her breath, she says, 'Oh this is a business, I'll put you on our do not call list'.

Called me at 8pm last night and left no message on my VM.  Called me again at same time tonight and I did pick up. Female voice asked for me by name, I asked who's calling. I got the spiel, including the "cookies on the top shelf" then started her speech on the Cancer awareness programs they promote.  I began suspecting this was actually a recording, but then they hung up.

Scam block why aren't they shut down.

I got an early call 2/19/2016 around 8am when I picked up the phone -it was silent.  Later I dialed this # 206-212-0457 on my phone ID and it also said Auto United Cancer Foundation -I think it said I could leave a message - so I suspect a New Charity Scam.  If I get any unsolicited calls and they start talking especially about Charity - I tell them I do nothing by phone and immediately hang up!!!

Just got a call. I let it ring when I saw the ID.  Left no message.
