Received a call from a person named Michael, claiming he is from Microsoft and informing me that I have a virus in my computer and if I don't follow up with his instructions he can crash my computer. Regardless to say I do not believe that, I feel that he was harrassing us.

Received a call claiming that my Windows computer was transmitting a warning that it had a virus.
He said it was my XP Windows version when I asked which one of the 4 computers I owned were relaying the message. Sounded like a scam to me so I told him that I would have my corporate IT guy contact him.

Just got a call at 10;44pm saying that there was something wrong with my computer and I needed to follow his directions so my computer wouldn't crash.  When I told him I had a MAC he quickly ended the phone call and left me this number.  However, 1-585-243-9768 came up on my call display.  Anyone know whats going on?

First a Roger Smith called warning of computer problems connected to Windows, when I began questionning he said the call was breaking up and he would call back.  His "supervisor" Max Williams called back with slightly different story - routine call to windows users re: problems with Windows, wanting me to connect to his microsoft technicians to have it fixed.  When I googled the call back number (I requested a call back number) it came up as being associated with several scams.  I ended up hanging up on him, despite his threats that my computer could crash and that I would not be able to blame microsoft as I had been warned.  Strong Indian accent for Roger and Max.

I got the same call from a person named Christopher Daniels.  He was the one who called me so I was suspicious why he has my name and number.  I told him I will call back so I can check if he is legit.  I am very suspicious . . .

They keep calling at 10pm telling us our Windows program is "infected". When I had had just about enough I asked for their company name and number. They gave me this number, but refused to give a compnay name. SImon Jones (with a very heavey Indian accent) called tonight. I was very clear that they should not call me again. This is a scam. We have a MAC, we do not use Windows. DO not give them any personal info or control of your computer.

The guy called Roger Anderson (+1 206 237 0050) called me today saying he is from Microsoft and that my pc has been sending them error messages. At first i believed him until he said my pc took a long time to start up this morning. Lol My pc has been on for 3 days. He said I should type a certain code on my pc. Lol he sounded like he wanted to take over my pc so I looked at the phone and it had no caller ID so I said if you're from Microsoft your number would show. He then gave me the above numbers which I immediately googled. I see he'd called many people over a payday loan, others as a Microsoft engineer from Microsoft etc. I read everything to him and he hung up. Lol.

Keep getting calls from various people with strong East Indian accents from "Swap PC Care".
Today, Shawn from "Swap PC Care" called saying our computer is sending error msgs.
Our computer has been in getting getting fixed for 2 weeks. I told him I didn't feel comfortable doing something on my computer by someone I have no idea who he is.When I asked him for a 1-800 # so I could call him back, he got defensive, saying if I call him back I will have to pay for the service. He wouldn't tell me the name of his company at first, and put me on hold to get the phone #.  He was very pushy and it all sounded very fishy to me. The Phone # he gave me is 206-237-0050. I don't believe this is a toll free # like he said it was.

Swap is the biggest scam you could deal with, these buncha fools dont even know the difference between 2 fingers of the same hand. They call up, fck up, and thats all. They wouldnt ask for your card info but if you type it they would be screen recording your desktop. These are the worst lot as they dont even train to get a proper accent to talk. Anyways stay away from these fellas, thank god that am a bit of a computer savy guy and that i knew what they were doing
