Recieved a call from this number yesterday.  Say I had a complaint filed with the Federal dept.  Contact
this number right away or go to nearest police dept and turn myself in.  Did research on the number, don't know anyone in Washington State.  Scam to me.

Got the identical call this morning, don't know anyone in Washington and have done nothing wrong so I'm not bothering calling back

Got a voice call from this number saying that a federal complaint filed against me by officer John Harrison in Washington State police department and that I need to call immediately or surrender myself to the nearest police station. Called back and someone (definitely) with Indian accent was saying that they are from the IRS. Similar calls came few months back from the DC area as well. Just asked him that I needed help on how to file 1040, he just hung up, Sounds like hoax.

Yes just got the same message. I called and was told the same thing and not to interrupt. When I did they hung up.

I just received the same  phone call.  I knew it it was a scam.  I called my local police department the officer said just ignore the call it is a scam.  Never respond to the caller the officer said.

Same call. Called him back and told him to stop calling me. He then began to swear at me. I told him if he calls me again I will hunt him down and end his little scam.

Tax identity theft is the theme of the week, but it’s not the only tax scam we’re talking about. Complaints to the FTC about IRS imposter scams have shot up over the last year — by almost 50,000 complaints.

Here’s what happens: You get a call from a scammer pretending to be with the IRS, saying you’ll be arrested if you don’t pay taxes you owe right now. You’re told to wire it or put it on a prepaid debit card. They might threaten to deport you or say you’ll lose your driver’s license. Some even know your Social Security number, and they fake caller ID so you think it really is the IRS calling.

But it’s all a lie. If you send the money, it’s gone.

When you have a tax problem, the IRS will first contact you by mail. The IRS won’t ask you to wire money, pay with a prepaid debit card, or share your credit card information over the phone.

If you get a call like this, file a complaint with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at tigta.gov. You also can file a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov/complaint. If you’re concerned there’s a real problem, call the IRS directly at 800-829-1040.

This is the third time I received this same call.  Matter of fact I received a call this morning regarding the same thing but was from an automated voice.  However the first time they called they knew my name which was obtained from my voicemail and the caller became vulgar.

I got the same thing with Robo voice saying that they are calling from Washington police.
I knew it's a scam.

Robo called my cell from 206-257-7084, a female distorted voice identifing as Deputy Jones from washington police dept requesting to call them back or Federal Warrant and to turn yourself in at closest law-enforcement.

I received a call this morning at 7:06am telling me the call was from someone acting on behalf of John Harris or (Harrison) and he had filed a warrant for me and that I should go to the nearest police station and turn myself in because I was in serious trouble. This makes the third or fourth time they have called me. A warrant is not filed, it is issued by a judge or magistrate if there is just cause and I told the imbecile on the phone with me. She got ugly and I hung up on her.. A lot of things about this call don't add up. Scam.

Got 2 calls in a row from this number. A female voice stating to speak to an officer  John because it was an important matter with the police and if I did not call right away I would be arrested ???? From Washington State
Are you kidding me?  I am calling my telephone company to proceed with this harassing call

Same call today. Scam, why can't we get a law passed that the phone I pay for is not for robo, commercial, scam use

Just got this call today. Said he was IRS and there was a lawsuit against me and to call the # back. I'm smart enough to not call it back. I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night lol

They've called 3x already today. I didn't buy into your irs scam the first time--stop calling!

I've had three calls today all robo calls they leave a message same as the ones posted above . I have registered my phone number on the do not call list but it doesn't seem to help.I know that these are scams and would never call back.

Receive 3 calls today from this number and they left a 4 digit number that is it. Curious i called back and the woman on the phone who was foreign said she was a deputy and I had and IRS problem.
