- xyzzyThe usual air duct cleaning scam. Why would anyone do business with these people. They are already proving they are criminals by ignoring the do not call list.

- Jon RogersRobocall spammer. Furnace duct cleaning. Shouldn't have answered.

- BarbThey didn't leave a message other than half an automated call with no number. When you call back there is dead air and then "test successful" and it hangs up. Do NOT call back - they are only verifying the validity of your number so they can call back or sell your number.
- Caller: Duct Company
- CJDitto. I did call back and got the "test successful" message too. That made me mad, so I just finished completing the handy-dandy online form with the FCC. If enough people do the online complaints via the FCC form, for any such call types, then the FCC *might* go after the offenders. Probably not, but it's online and very helpful. I do it all the time. And no, the FCC never sends spam out.

- rickLet's hound our legislators to require all telephone companies to provide free, unlimited, call blocking for all phone lines. Then WE can block whomever we want, whenever we want, with NO exemptions for charities, political parties, etc.

- John Dwyer| 1 replyThis summer when I started getting these calls and could not get them to stop I went ahead and scheduled a cleaning for a date when we would be on vacation. They were not happy. The crew left several messages about why weren't we answering the door. So now that they started again I will schedule again but I will be here and tell them to go pound sand when they arrive.
- Mary Stevens-ZarichI received a recorded call about air duct cleaning on January 23, 2013. When I called the number back there was a recording, "B241 Test completed successfully" and I was disconnected. We are on the do not call list.
We have received at least three robo-calls a week in the past two months. The only way I know to stop them is to call the number back; in every case but this one, there has been an immediate offer to remove our number from their lists. I know it is illegal not to do so, so I''m adding my complaint to the list!- Caller: air duct cleaning

- S Sugiyama| 1 replymy mother received, thinking it was a legitimate business, this call and not 5 minutes after she confirmed, a phone number for a Pinchas Ohayon at 206-432-5918 called to confirm. when I had gotten home and heard about it, she gave me both numbers. I too got the "B241 Test...." message and came here straightway. When I tried to phone Mr. Ohayon (if he actually exists; it was apparently a woman's voice), I didn't get a ring tone... just a lot of silence and then the answering service. 5 seconds after that, I received several mini-rings. just enough to make noise, but not long enough for my Caller ID to trace. this happened 3 times.
I will be notifying the proper channels now.- Caller: air duct cleaning

- Spektor777These duct cleaning scams can be really dangerous. They are known as the"Blow and Go" gang. Sometimes the caller offers a free clothes dryer duct vacuuming as the bait. If allowed in to the home, part of the crew goes about banging ducts and vacuuming. The Boss seems to be sort of official, has a clip board with a safety checklist and says he must inspect the furnace for safety as part of the duct job. He will take the home owner to the furnace, perform his "Safety Inspection" and discover several critical things that must be fixed ASAP! Meanwhile the duct cleaning guys are unsupervised inside your home and probably with deep pockets. They will always have the necessary parts in their truck to fix those dangerous furnace things the inspection detected. The generally unnecessary, expensive fix often does more damage to the furnace. Don't ler them in!
My Telemarketer solution...I have a small compressed boat air horn near the phone. I wait until I get an actual person on the line and act interested in their pitch. Then I give them a 5 second blast with the boat horn. A police whistle will also do, but the horn in better. I can just imagine the telemarketer trying to get all his phone headset and earphones off his head...that's why I prefer the boat horn. Cheers- Caller: Furnace Duct Cleaning

- ModaA call from 206-257-7822 stated it came from Seattle, WA. A split second recording was left on my voice mail. Probably began the robo call during the recorded answering service?

- Sam replies to John DwyerOn I like this idea......I'm going to do this too, maybe if I waste enoughof their time they'll finally take me off thecalling list.
- MartinJust call the same air-duct-cleaning robo-call, on my cell phone, as everybody else here is reporting. I'm on the do-not-call list too, and would love to see the caller get busted for having called me, and for having call the rest of you all, as well.

- SaraThese folks are complete and absolute slime! Have received hundreds of calls for duct cleaning, carpet cleaning etc. No way to get off list, and NOT answering the phone, doesn't stop them either (they use so many phone numbers, that it is impossible to block them). These folks are criminals who seem able to harass and con endlessly.

- BarryYup, same robocall for so-called "air duct cleaning" and "press 1 to talk to someone".
I love to waste their time and tie up their equipment. So I put my phone mic on mute and press 1, get a real person, who talks to my dead line awhile before giving up. I can keep this up all day. Sometimes the robocaller's equipment is so dumb that it leaves the line open for a half hour or more. Shucks, I only tied up their line for a half minute this morning. Better luck next time.

- AlanCalled about air duct cleaning. I asked the caller's name, she said "Gina". I asked what was the company's name, she said "TLC Cleaning". I asked for a callback number, she said "888 322 7456". I then said I was on the Do Not Call registry, she said "well you got the wrong number, Ha Ha Ha". Then she hung up.
