- Anna JentzThis # is claiming to be from the Federal Dept of Internet Crime Control, has refused to remove my # as asked, claims my ssn is tampered, and has even called me @ work when I don't give that # out. Major scam!
- Caller: Federal Dpt of Internet Crime Control
- melissaNumber called me SEVEN times in less than 5 minutes. Left 2 voice mails saying a complaint was filed against me or something. And something about my social security number. Claimed He Was A Sargeant from Internet crime control. What a joke hahaha. You can hear all the other people in the back round on the phone saying the same shirt to other people on the phone. SCAM! DO NOT EVEN ANSWER PHONE CALLS. They aren't even in that area I bet. Probably using a program to change their phone number to whatever they want.

- Dave HarrisI guess these idiots don't realize that federal would be in WASHINGTON, DC, not WASHINGTON STATE. Not to mention there is no way in hell that his name was Allen Cooper with that accent. Morons.
- ElizabethRecieved several threatening phone calls from an Alex Parker stating he was from the Federal Department of Internet Crime Control. Stated he was going to send some one to my employer to take care of me. Hung on him he called back and reached my supervisor who he also threatened. My employer has contacted the FBI and local police and have filed a formal complaint.
How do you make these calls stop.- Caller: Federal Department of Internet Crime Control

- scott| 1 replyjust got this call a little while ago, as in the other reports, its a man with a middle eastern accent and uses different american sounding names, he called himself gary johnson, my understanding is this is a scam to try and get your ssn, they say they are the federal internet crime division and there is a complaint involving your ssn and then proceed to ask you to verify the number and pay restitution or you can be arrested, BS!, for one if i was in danger of being arrested i think my local law enforcement would let me know this, not achmed over my cell phone.
- Caller: 209-259-9024
- scott replies to scottexcuse number is 206-259-9024
- TaniaI have gotten two calls from this number today one right after the other saying the same thing the other posts say and of course I did not answer it but they did leave a message saying I had two hours to call them back or someone would be at my door well let them come because they are full of crap. I got one yesterday and it showed up the state police in my area and I contacted them and they told me that it was a scam and to disregard the call and they also told me that if there was a complaint against someone they would not know it until the police showed up at their door.

- SusanThis idiot has called me several times. 1st he was from the Internet Crime Control, Now he's from the FBI and there is an arrest warrant out for me and I need to pay to get the warrant off of me. This guy is an idiot. If the FBI has an arrest warrant out for me they would not be calling me they would have come and got me an locked me up already. Also I don't think the Federal Gov't is going to have some guy with an extremely heavy sounds like Indian accent and u can't understand him and can barely speak correct English call me or anyone. Now when I see the number coming thru I turn my TV up Super Loud or my Stereo Super Loud answer the phone and put the ear piece to the speaker. I figured if your gonna keep bothering me I will entertain you with music or television. My next step is to get an air horn and blow it throw the ear piece. Maybe a busted ear drum will stop him. He (They) also call from Private or Unlisted numbers.
- Caller: Internet Crime Control/FBI

- Gunnar replies to chrisYour caller is a fraud. Probably a foreign one. He is a criminal. His aim is to embarrass you & cause problems for you at work. In his meager mind he thinks that will make you cough up some money. Ignore him.
Show this thread to your employer or HR person. Unless he's been living under a rock, he'll be aware of these scams. This sort of thing can happen to anyone, even your superiors at work. If you are dismissed from your job because of being targeted by frauds your employer is opening themselves up to a civil action. Sadly, it does happen. Former employees rarely pursue the matter & employers can dream up other excuses for a dismissal.
Even though I should not mention this, I will. If anyone is dismissed from their job due to being targeted by frauds, there is vengeance. Employees invariably have information about their superiors & the owners at their workplace. If you are wrongfully terminated, use that information. Do it lawfully, but use it. Anyone can be targeted by frauds. It's not hard to figure out how a manager, or owner, might be targeted. I won't elaborate, but you can figure it out. I despise frauds but I have an almost equal hatred of unsympathetic employers. I'm an employer myself. I would never think less of, or terminate, an employee because he/she was targeted by frauds. Ever! Scammers targeting people close to me is what brought me in to the world of fraud fighting. At my company tormenting scammers is an encouraged pass-time. I have an office staff that is the bane of existence to scammers from all over the globe. So much so that we get very few calls anymore. I guess that's a good thing, but my staff does kind of miss the "good ol' days". The economy has recovered in a big way so they're all busy, but when it slows down for the season they're going to relish the occasional fraud call. Nothing is better for office morale than listening to a recorded call from a fraud having a new orifice being torn in to him by one of my office personnel! Happy employees make for a happy workplace!
Live Well.
Gunnar - Alfalfa replies to chrisThis is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

- Caller: internet crime from government lol
- Marie| 1 replyWork at a County Hospital and receive numerous calls from these type of individual. I will explain the employees are not allowed to receive personal business call. They will insist it is important and insist they need to speak with the individual. I had one caller continuously call and hang up over and over again. Why is there not a way to prevent this type of harrasment? One would think with all the technology, there would be a way to stop these threats of harrasment.
- Caller: No name of a company

- Dyrat| 2 repliesIs calling my phone telling me that their will b a warrent for my arrest in the next 2 hours becuz of so and so reasons I can't even understand
- Slim replies to Dyrat| 1 replyLegitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process. They will deliver the notification without warning.
Also, if you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email, read this:
http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam
"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."
"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court."
