Called my home 3/5/08 at 5 PM.  No message on my machine.

This appears to be Community Services for the Blind in Seattle.  Their website is:  http://www.csbps.com  and phones they can be reached at are 206-767-2177 or 1-800-458-4888.   They also telemarket from numbers 206-268-6624, 206-268-6636, 206-268-6637, and 206-268-6641.  I do not approve of telemarketing since the companies they contract out to don't leave messages, or a way to get off their list, and they usually keep a lot of the money they collect from you (less gets to the charity than if you donate directly to the charity).  I also don't appreciate being disturbed at home.  I may have gotten on their call list because I belong to Lions Club, who help the blind.  (I sure hope Lions Club doesn't sell our personal information to telemarketers!)

The Fed's Do Not Call list does not work in this case, since they are exempt because they are a charity.  :-(

I've received 3 of these calls on my cell phone -- 206-268-6626, 667, and 6638.  Another site pointed me to a land line (unidentified) near Pioneer Square in Seattle.  Any suggestions on how to stop these phone calls?  Calling back only gets a busy signal.  My cell phone number has been registered on the do not call list.

Three calls to my cell phone -- Saturday afternoon from 206-268-6617 and 206-268-6638 and one this morning from 206-268-6626.  No messages, all traced to the same address (unlisted name) in Seattle.

Received a call from 206 268 6617 Community Services.
My SIT tones caused them to disconnect. The three Supervisory Information Tones cause the telemarketers Predictive Dialer to hang up and delete my phone number from their list, because it thinks the number is not in service. The three boop-boop-beep tones are on my answering machine ahead of my announcement. It works when an unknown call comes in, a charity or lately politicians who are exempt from Do-Not-Call, I look at the caller ID and let the call go to my answering machine.
