Ashley25 Jun 2007- This is NOT verizon. The number is not part of the Verizon network; verizon send a text message to you and they do NOT initiate calls to verify service contracts, payments or monies owed. The advice from VERIZON-- DO NOT ACCEPT THE CALL. Then make a report by calling Verizon customer service (#611 - SEND from your cellphone)
- I also got a call from this number. It left a voice mail that turned out to be to "sound bites" of music that I could not discern. Did/wont take call but it pisses me off when a voice mail is left that I have to follow up on. VERIZON if its not you.....you need to take action to make it go away!
- it is NOT Verizon. I called Verizon to ask about it, and they said 206-315-3010 is NOT one of their numbers, don't answer the call, don't give them information, and they will block the number from calling you again if you ask. they took down the number the call originated from as well as the 800 number they left on my voice mail. the verizon supervisor i spoke with said neither number belongs to Verizon, and they will investigate it. He advised me that it is a scam, and under no circumstances return their call or give them any information if by some chance an actual person is on the other end when you answer. He also said that if you have an overdue payment, they will text you. That failing, your service will be disrupted. If you go 30 days or more with your service interrupted, they make a "hard disconnect", and you will have to pay a fee to have it restored. After that, you will receive letters telling you to pay your bill. After that, you will receive calls from a collection agency. That is the ONLY time you will receive a call from a collection agency on behalf of Verizon Wireless, and they will NOT represent the call as originating from Verizon. So-- hopefully Verizon will get to the bottom of the supposed scam and the annoying calls to elicit personally identifiable information will cease.
- It is Verizon wireless automated collections. The message says if they have reached the number in eror, hit 3 and their records are corrected. They are not, however. If you are a Verizon customer and call back 206.315.3010, you might be able to talk to someone because you can input your Verizon phone number. But if you do not have a Verizon phone number, you can't get past the recorded message. Call a Verizon 800 customer service number and get financial/collections. At some point in the recorded message you will be able to hit the # key or say you are not a customer and then get an operator. I told the operator I was getting collection phone calls for someone named *** at my home phone. I gave her my number, she confirmed it was in their system as the backup contact for the customer and she removed my number, suggesting it was either input error or the customer gave a false number. Problem has been solved. All this took 2 hours, 4 different Verizon service reps and a couple of hang-ups. I hope you have faster luck.
- THIS NUMBER IS IN FACT VERIZON WIRELESS. THEY CALLED MY HOME AND LEFT A MSG FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS NOT HAD THIS NUMBER FOR OVER A YEAR.
THE MSG LEFT ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE GAVE A TOLL FREE NUMBER TO CALL AND AN EXTENSION. WHEN I CALLED IT DID GIVE AN OPTION TO ADVISE THEM THAT THIS WAS THE INCORRECT NUMBER FOR THE PERSON THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO REACH. WE WILL SEE IF THEY CALL BACK. - this number can not possibly be verizon. my husband gets this call all the time, all day long. it's always automated or if you answer its a hang up, but there are 4 of us all together on our verizon service and usually if we get something it is a text message to call and we all 4 get it. also, the verizon numbers you call do not start like this and they dont come from washington...this is insane, how do we make the calls stop? it's very frustrating!
- I have been getting this call for about 1 week and the kicker is that I have automatic debit set up for when I get paid (every 2 weeks) and the bill is only 3 days late!!!!! WTF! I'm going to try and have this blocked....we have 3 phones on the account and I'm the only one getting them! Thank god they invented the "All sounds off" feature!
- If you pay your bill you won't have to be hassled by Verizon. Be responsible and pay your bills or cancel your service. Don't complain about receiving collections calls when you owe money. I just recieved this number and I am receiving calls from a variety of numbers trying to collect. I owe no-one and it is anoying.
- I just started getting calls from this same number and decided to look up the area code, not knowing anyone in Seattle and reading the posted comments..I am glad I did not p/u as I did not recognize the number. Verizon will send text messages advising you of certain things re your account. I did not think they would be calling me...they would probably be more apt to turn your phone off.
