I don't know who called. When I answered no one was there. My caller ID showed "Par3 Main".
I found a call and a message from this number. It is Commonwealth Edison, automated message that tells you to call the regular customer service/accounting number for a message about your electrical account, with a "message alert number" to reference. Turns out that it was a payment reminder for an amount past due. I thought my account was current, but apparently a check I had mailed hadn't reached them, so it was a good thing I called and straightened it out. (I guess it was lost in the mail, since it never surfaced and cleared... I didn't bother to stop payment since I figured if it did show up, it would just be a credit on my account for next month). No further calls since then. Might be worth your response in case there is some confusion with your electrical service account also.
I think Tony's right...these dopes have got my cell number linked to some acct. they've been trying to collect for a couple of years now. I have repeatedly told them they've got the wrong person, why do I bother?
Called and left no message, but when I dialed back it retrieved a message to call the main ComEd customer service number (1-800-Edison-1 (1-800-334-7661)). Apparently three other accounts had my phone number on them and someone was past due on payments. If you are current on your electric bill just call them up and they will correct things in their system.
this number called my cell phone at 8:30 AM and woke up my very cranky teething baby. From reading others comments sounds about right that it is com-ed.
These jerks have called my cell phone twice today and several times before. I NEVER answer any phone unless I know who is calling. I do not owe anything and both my unlisted landline and my cell are on the Do Not Call Registry. I pay for my phones for my convenience and that of my friends. What part of "do not call" don't they understand???
They called me today and have been calling for a while. It's ComEd's Collection Agency. They'll call me every now and again, and have been for the past several months. I tried to get through to a real person but it wouldn't let me.
