My son been receiving calls from 1-206-317-1541 saying from Samantha saying he was approved for a free grant in the amount of $8,500 but he must sent a security deposit of $250 dollar on a green dot moneypak card to receive the MTCN # to get the $8,750 u get the security deposit back. THIS IS A SCAM.... PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO FALL FOR THIS ITS A LOT OF DESPERATE PEOPLE OUT HERE!!!!

I received a call from (567) 890-9876 telling me the same thing and to call the number (206) 317-1541. When they explained the whole thing to me and got to the part about sending them $50, I told them I knew it was a scam. They almost seemed shocked. I think they just were not expecting someone to call them on it. I understand scams and will not fall for this one.

This is a scam PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR IT! I just called and cursed them out because they keep trying 2 say its real, its a for sure SCAM!!!

GETTING CALLS FROM  206 317 1541 SAYS i QUALIFY FOR $8,500 IN GRANT MONEY  HAVE TO CALL THIS NUMBER GIVE ACTIVATION CODE THEN THEY WANT MONEY ???? in ORDER TO GET MONEY SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM i WISH NOT TO RECIEVE THESE CALLS  DID NOT BELIEVE GOVERNMENT IS GIVEIING AWAY MONEY. SAID FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WAS CALLING DEALING WITH FEDERAL GRANTS

I got a call from the same phone number saying that I too had won a grant for $8,500. I asked them if I had to pay any money at all to get this and they said I did not have to pay any money for taxes to the government. they gave me another number to call and they said that I had to pay a deposit to get this money.  I knew it was a scam so I told them to just take it off the top of what they were going to send me anyway and to also keep 100 dollars for themselves.. they told me to call back in 10 minutes and every time, they give me to someone new to talk to. they finally stopped answering my calls.

It is a scam.
The government does not offer grants to individuals for personal use.
It is a scam ran by off shore con artists to trick you into sending unrecoverable money to them, you get nothing in return.

The only legitimate avenue for government grants is through www.grants.gov which is the official US government webs site for grants.

I recieved a call from 206-317-1541. Saying that if I deposit 250$ on a reloadable debit card they will then deposit a grant from the U.S. government in the amount of 8,000$$$. People who do this kind of thing are terrible. This is a scam. The US government doesn't call with an Indian accent.

I received the same call. They wanted me to call 206-317-1541 to receive 8,500. It's a scam.

I keep getting this same call.... Is there anything we can do about it? These people gave me my address and that makes me nervous. How can they get such information?

I keep gettin these calls and they began giving me my personal information. I feel violated... I dont have money so I'm not worried about that but I don't feel comfortable with anyone having my personal info besides my husband.... Howcan this be stopped?

I have been getting the same calls for months now they are now coming from West Virginia area code 304, DC area code 202, Connecticut area code 203, Indiana area 317 and blocked numbers I have blocked there numbers but they keep getting through!!! They are driving me crazy. Who can we file a complaint with. I put my name on the Do Not Call list but they continue to do it!!!
