Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received a call from this number twice today both times reporting to be from the IRS and said that we were being sued. ha ha. We saw this report on the news. We also know that the IRS only notifies you by mail. Everyone needs to report this scam so these people can be caught and prosecuted.

Same situation here.  Total scam.  Used to work for h & r block and know for a fact irs will only contact you by mail.

Spent 18 minutes (could have lasted much longer but I had enough) listening to one of the stupidest-irrational-idiotic-bad-executed-long-bad accent-bad English-phone scams ever.
The call originated overseas. Very strong Indian accent, spoke with several "officers-IRS employees-attorneys-accountants-bank employees" what a joke.
Better than a soap, lots of stupid statements and scare tactics. But it was fun.
Couldn't hold my laughing, so I had to hang up, Not before giving them a piece of my mind.
I don't believe anybody will fall for it.

Left message stating the IRS was filing a claim against me immediately and that this was the "final warning" to get in touch with them. Argh! Never called them back, of course. They need to get a productive hobby!

9/11/15 Robo call saying from IRS and that they are filing law suit against me.

Received a message from IRS stating I was being sued.  I did call the number as I was in shock.  The person could barely speak english & told me there was a miscalculation in my tax returns for 2005-2009 & I owed the IRS money.  When I said I had never been contacted by the IRS he said they had been to my door 3 times (the wrong address) & he is contacting me as a courtesy because I am a good customer.  I asked him lots of questions about who he was, etc. & he got upset with me that I was guilty & owed money to the IRS.  I told him he wasn't with the IRS & that is who I'm going to call.  He  never gave up even giving me his so called badge number.  Unfortunately for me I had not read or heard about this scam, otherwise I would've never called them back.  Thanks for posting your messages so I know what's going on.

I received a computer call 1 day after I received a certified letter from the IRS stating it was a final notice and that the IRS was filing a lawsuit.  It is a scam.

IRS scam, fortunately I fell into this last year. Lost thousands of dollars. Can't believe that they haven't got caught & prosecuted.

IRS left me a message regarding taxes we owed from a number in Bainbridge, WA..206-317-1652.  It's a scam!!!

They keep insisting i have money to pick up and i have to pay a fee and will not stop calling

I have been awarded a large sum of money from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act!  I fell into the demographic area in which the funds were allotted.  I could have them deposited into my bank directly or pick up at a Western Union i.e. Walmart or other places.  I would need a photo ID and once I was there I was to call the number listed and pay some money but I receive the money immediately back in my stimulus check!!!  Stated they were calling from Washington and they were of Asian decent.  After researching, stimulus was awarded in 2009 and knowing my government, there is no way that any of that money is still being distributed!! Let alone calls being sent out by Asian speaking individuals.
