I just got the same call, tried to call them back. Same thing. The recording says the telephone # has been disconnected. Just got a phone call on my home telephone line from 206- 323- 8870
It was a recording telling me not to hang up as it was a very important call.  The recording continued  providing me with details on people slipping and falling each year, with no way to get to phone, and then told me how many break ins occur in a years time PER the FBI.

Then said If I wanted to upgrade my home security system to press #1
And if I did not want to protect my family press #2.

I pressed # 2 cause we’ve already got a system here….  But within a moments time I thought, you know what? that was STOOPID to press the # 2 button, if it's people trying to see who has home alarm systems... So I decided to call them back right away to inform them, that my home IS CURRENTLY PROTECTED!!!!   Welll that 206 - 323 - 8870 is Disconnect, according the Recording that comes on...  

Now there's reason for concern, someone utilizing a disconnected #, to call peoples homes... Just seems a bit ODD! BE WARY about which options you push! in fact, DON'T PUSH ANY BUTTONS! JUST HANG UP THE PHONE, and block the # if you're able to.

Just putting this info here, incase its needed.

It's a scam outfit trying to sell home security monitoring packages.

They call from 781-214-2114 and 973-210-2110 and 206-323-8870.

I've gotten the same phone call, every day for nearly 3 weeks and I always hang up. However, I would like to stop this call  forever. I am already on the No Call List. The Recording tells me not to hang up-says it's not a sales call. But the same message comes from a variety of telephone numbers in different parts of the country. What can we do to stop this intrusion?

Kathy, good...I agree, I yelled at them about the, implying that I "dont want to protect my family by pushing 2" instead of 1 to connect with them and apply for their home protection system.....and guess what...I pressed to find out who they are and what they are about....yes, it is the General Electric Company.  They wont tell you that unless you ask and push.

Called.  Left no message.

Same call, same message.  Had a long conversation with the sales rep about their product.  They are selling security monitoring services.  Pre-recorded telemarketing calls are a violation. File a complaint with the FCC here:  http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

Small claims court is also an option, but you'll have to be really persuasive with the sales department to find out who these people are.

They are selling General Electric systems, but I doubt if they're really GE.  GE wouldn't be this dumb.

I keep getting the SAME call - only it's on my cell AND my home number but it's from MANY different numbers.  I have tried to call them ALL back and they all say they are 'disconnected'!!!

I just wish I new how to report them for harassment!  I mean really!!!  Daily and on my home AND cell!!!!  I'm just really done and WANT something done to stop it!  And I HAVE a security system, so don't want these calls.  Being on the DONOTCALL list helps some.  Guess it's time to go back and do that again.  

IF ANYONE KNOWS A PLACE TO REPORT THESE - PLEASE POST IT HERE SO WE CAN ALL REPORT IT and THE COMPANY MAKING THE CALLS.  They are a public nuisance!

I was at a doctor appt the other day and had forgotten to turn the ringer off.  The phone rang 3 times!!!

simple - report these scamsuckers to the feds - "do not call" complaint - just google it.

You can also report the call and number to you state's PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, they will investigate it....especially if you continue to get the call.
