responding to an ad i placed on craigslist.  Says name is Ed Kester.  says he wants to buy my boat for $28,000 but i have to open a paypal account.  Its obviously a scam.  The english in the email is horrible and sounds like a translation.

Ed Kester email me from my ad in craigslist about buying a cooler and he was going to send money to my paypal acct for more than i was asking for the cooler. All i had to do is send a western union gram to a guy in Salen for shipping and i could keep the rest

Definitely a scam.  They insist that you have a Paypal account because the charges can be reversed and you get screwed.  
Ask them to send YOU the money via Western Union, and see what they say!

Ed wanted us to set up an account also. He said he is in the Air Force training to be a Lieutenant and could not make or receive any calls. When I emailed him back as to what my son who is in Afghanistan said he still wanted us to set up an account and would proceed to buy our motorcycle for his allying uncle in Alaska. Don't do it. I am so glad I looked up his number.

Kelly I just got the same thing on Craigslist for my motorcycle! Same exact excuse he gave you. Glad I googled him :)

I had three items listed on craigs list.  Mr. Kester started off wanting to know what the bottom dolloar was and then emails me back telling me he will will take at orginial price and I need a pay pal account for him to send the money to.  He wants full name, email address with pay pal information to to send me money.  He is buying site unseen.  Uncle in Alaska is getting the antique stove and I guess he is going to ride around in the baby carriage.  I knew it was a scam.  Can you imagine having nothing else to do but try to beat somebody out of money all day.

I also was approached by Ed wanting to buy a painting on Craigslist and he wanted me to open a paypal accound, when I told him I have the painting on ebay under AMIKAM TOREN 1970 KLM PROGRAM to go there and he could buy it and pay for it with paypal I haven't heard from him since. What a moron and he is using 2 differnet emails one is also a Tony I saved them both in my drafts and going to report his azzz. Craigslist is really out of control and I am going to cancel my account with them If anyone would like to visit my ebay account it is ridgerunnerhillside. Ed wanted to purchase a motorcycle from us & said was in the.reserves & was a flight doctor & was stationed in virgina & was wanting my paypal info & was buying it for his son in alaska & would send someone to pick it up he also wanted more pics & wanted me to delete the post. It sounded weird so I google his name & found out he has been scamming people. All I can say is deal with people locally to avoid this crap.

Kester Ed wanted to buy our motorcycle by paypal, too. He used the exact story except his son was in Poland. My husband went on line and found out it was a scam. I agree, deal with people locally and face to face.

same thing happen today from this guy. Glad i googled his name first. what a scammer. He used the reserves story on me too. He said his son was in Warsaw Poland .

I just got the same exact stories from this guy, said he was sending the money right away via paypal. I sure am glad i looked this up. What a loser. I'm sure he's reading this right now. I hope he isn't succeeding and getting some people unfamilar with buying over the internet. He makes it sound so good. Sorry there "ed" you ain't gonna get me! People doing this need to be locked up, how does he continue to get away with this?? Gotta be something we can do, Thank you so very much to all of you who posted here!!

they just contacted me from Craig's list about ad I have for sale, The name used was Doctor Ellen White.
She (he, it) said she was in New York but this phone number is from Washington state. Bad english was a tip off they were very defensive when I called them scammers LOL. They are to stupid to change there phone number. I enjoyed calling them scammers LOL LOL They used non business words like cherish, love to, wanna. Not the English of a doctor. talking about stuff.

Dr. Ellen White is at it again.  Now a consultant for an energy corporation in Seattle.  Wants to buy my houseboat in Tennessee and ship it to her son as a gift in Alaska.  Has to use paypal of course.  Ship a houseboat to Alaska! Give me a break.  HaHaHa!  This guy is a piece or work and sh*t.
