You are not the only one!!  Got awaken in the middle of the night, not only once but twice by the same faxed letter received each time and exactly as yours.  The caller (faxer) ID on my phone however was showing a different number 732 389-4930...

they seem to be spreading this news all over the globe...I received it in Germany just this morning...save the money and time to reply

got same message at work.  Looks like at 4:42 this morning.  Same phone number 206-337-8091.  Same email address.  I like the change of last name spelling for the email...(z instead of s).

I got the same message on my business fax in Croatia at Sep. 26, 05:34:36. Fax header 'Palaniappa Miranj'. The fax came from number 0017323894930 (the line is located in Eatontown, NJ). Everything matches all of you mentioned: UK attorney's name, his UK phone and two fax numbers and email address; Undersigned Mrs. Janice Uswatta, Efax +1-206-337-8091, email: uzwatta@gmail.com (z instead s in signature email address), etc., etc. Well, I have been receiving similar messages since many years ago. This is just a fake deal, generally known as 'Nigerian Money Laundry' and it is under investigation of 'INTERPOL' (International Police Association). I red in a local newspapers a year or two ago about a Czech Republic citizen who has been hooked on a Nigerian money transaction and has been involved in serious troubles with those international criminals. People, DON'T BUY such messages - it is a dirty money! Just DO IGNORE IT, or, report it to your local police department.

Same info as all above @ 3AM PST.....man did this fax fry my *%# at that hour!

I answering from Italy.
My morther got the fax. I am sure it is a trick.....

I am Spanish and I also got the same message to 5:51:46 on Sunday.

The unfortunate part is that hook used as a terminal illness person. As in this case. Let's see if they find out who they are and can do something against such individuals.
