This phone number was referrenced in an internet scam.  I posted my house for rent on craigslist.com, and I received th below E-mail.  I found almost the exact same E-mail listed on another site exposing the scam. I decided to put up this post since Google links to this website alot.  Here's the E-mail from javmuller1@aol.com

Thanks for your mail, I will be willing to pay 1 month rent to start with plus the security deposit in order to secure this unit prior to my arrival.  

I am an Engineer by profession and I am currently working with Wessex Survey & Design Ltd UK. I will be coming to the state for the next one year and during my stay, I will be working with Black & Veatch Incorporation a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company specializing in infrastructure development in energy, water, telecommunications, management consulting, federal and environmental markets.

My sole  financier that is based in the States  will be handling the rent deposit payment on my behalf, I will instruct him to send you a Certified Check for this as soon as you give me the go ahead to make out payment to you. Due to the limited time that we have before our arrival, we are making arrangements with a furniture company to supply the home with furnitures,so we will need you to provide us with the the following:

# Measurements of the living room and bedroom.

# Picture viewing the living room and the bed room(s).

# As regards the lease agreement and application, I want you to send it to me for my review. I will eventually have it filled and signed on my arrival in your place as I am of the opinion that such documents are best filled and signed physically by appending signatory at best physical. We can start the lease by asap and I will be doing a one year lease. You can prepare the lease in my name.

I will look forward to your e-mail with the required information.

I also got an email in response to a craigslist ad for a property rental.  I responded to the first email, and the second email was the same as the one written above...asking for measurements of the room, etc.  The phone number does not ring when it is called.  How can these people be caught?  WTF?!!

I also received the same email when I posted an ad for a house rental at Craiglist. Very, very same one. She gave her name as Ciara Lopez.

Here is the email address the scammmer uses: clopez1991@aol.com" <clopez1991@aol.com>.

She said she is in UK but uses AOL. Doesn't call the posted number on the ad.

I got the exact same email in response to a house I listed on Craigslist. Since reading these posts I filed a complaint with the Internet Crime Division. Though no money was exchanged I might have lost a renter while playing games with this S Adams. Also I feel I was a victim as all of you were. I feel sure this is illegal. Not funny, not cute. Someone needs a serious job to fill all that time.

I got the same messages in reply to a craigslist listing withh the names S Adams, Henry Moore and Curtis Crompton

I received the same email, BUT i thought something was up and am currently going through dealing with a NICU baby and ignored my gut. Of course it is a scam and I am out $6500. WHAT WAS I THINKING?? i was thinking not wiht my business head and more worried about my family. anyway my email that he gave me was pemuller1@aol.com

I RECEIVED THE SAME MAIL, THE MAIL WAS, Serikitulsa@aol.com, first from THOMAS COLE, then, I received the same mail with the name of Karen Daniel, then I received this mail as answer:

So what does one do about this posting? I gave my name address and cell to this person. What can they do with that information?

I just recieved this EXACT letter in an email as a reply to my ad on craigslist. Thank Goodness you all posted your concerns here - I thought it smelled funny, so I tried a little fact checking.  Mine was sent from a PETER ADAMS, pettadams101@gmail.com

I wrote him back a nasty gram.  Hope whoever it is gets busted soon and made to pay.

We have received a similar email regarding renting our house.  Thus far, he has sent a check covering first and last month rent as well as damage deposit.  We have not deposited the check.  Could you please inform us as to how you lost the $6500?  The name of the person requesting our rental is Curtis Crompton,  curcromton73@googlemail.com    Thanks so much...and I am sorry about your loss.  Too bad that there are "creeps" like that out there in the world.

We got the same email from peter adams from [pettadams103@gmail.com]to respond my craiglist rental. Thank you very much, all. Now I know it is a scam.

Execpt they used Ferry Fera [ferryfera019@gmail.com].

Thank you for posting this email.  I received the same one and deleted it. I post many rental homes on Craigslist and get these emails alot.  I like to google search the email address to see if there is any feedback.  Thanks again.

A friend of my recently tried to sell a Harley Davidson on Craigslist.com. He received emails that seemed a little skecthy, but legit enough. Until he got a phone call from this number. The person from this number who is "interested" in buying the bike is supposedly payin via cashiers check due here in a few days. He sent my friend another email trying to convince him that ther is no need to deposit or cash the check for at least another week after arrival. If memory serves me correctly a sender can void any cashier's check through the company it sent through at any time as long as it hasnt been deposited or cashed. My friend also gave his address so this person's "shipper" can come pick up the bike. I am currently moving the bike apartment to be on the safe side. Any more suggestions?

Thank you for taking the time for giving us a heads up.  I received the exact same Email this A.M. 1-17-09.  I'm not sure how this scam works but I wont waste my time with this jerk and his " precious family".
