To which I replied "Umm, yeah, I'm not into scams.   The car is for sale to legit buyers, not scammers."  and never heard from Scoffy again.  I searched for the phone number just to see and it brought me here.

Got the exact emails from Scoffy for my Craigslist ad.  The initial inquiry seemed a bit weird but the second email really set off the bs alarms!  Didn't intend to respond but now I might just to screw with him....   Thx

I got the same message! I knew it was a scam!

I've been dealing with Scoffy the scammer for about 2 weeks now, I'm just wasting his time so he has less time to spend screwing people.

He has sent me a total of 5 different 5 paypal transactions and wants me to send 'shipper fee's on his behalf to the shipper via western union.

I have made several elaborate stories as to why I'm delayed in doing so.  Currently I have traveled to India and the Western Union there will only take goats and chickens for payment so he is sending me paypal money to buy goats with.

Also contacted by Sir Scoffy but not by phone since he did not have my number.  I had no sooner sent off my email, responding to his query about an item I posted on Craig's list for sale when, in under 15 sec, I received a lenthgy email with the exact text of one of the above requesting paypal address etc. I will notify Craig's list of this and tell this fellow to get lost.

Keep getting emails from him about buying my motorcycle. I told him I'll contact him Tuesday. I am going to give him the address to the Houston Police Department for the pickup location lol

Oh yeah and he has two email addresses listed on the side notes in gmail which what tipped off my scam when I got the 1 st email.

Got the same thing luckily I found this website before I did anything.

I also recieved an email from Scoffy Williams and it seemed like a scam. So I googled the name and it bought me here.

This is a scammer and it seems as if several people are involved, just reading these posts.  There is a female that goes by the name of Amber Lara Kropp. I almost got scammed too by her so beware! She had a very unbelievable story... Call the police if ever you hear from him/her with seemingly different aliases.

He is now going buy Calvin Williams. Scammer!!!! same emails as you have received above.

This is almost same word for word email we recieved when we advertised oue motercyle.I was wary after once when I first stared using the interent was sucked in to believing I was to just pay money transferes for the calls to have money held in my account for them....Was stupid I know,but this time my flags went up and I question him The email address charles.mcentire1950@gmail.com,and calvinwilliams999@gmail.com.

Aww..this breaks my heart! I know never to click links or give someone your acct #'s or the whole western union fake money thing but I thought paypal was a respectable use for payment and believed him! Damn! Now I'm just bummed. He didn't get much from me. He had my email address and when I thought he was going to call he had my phone # and name but nothing else so he can't get far. But his email was the same as above from calvin williams! I am trying to sell my dad's motorcycle on craigslist!
