The number belongs to Bank of America.  They use it to conduct annoying automated customer service surveys.

I've gotten a few from this number, but they never leave a message, so I never pick up. Now that I know it's a spammer, I'll block it. Thanks for the tip!

I got the call 3 times in one day, I don't answer it and they don't leave a message. A week before I started to receive the call, someone cleared out my bank of america checking and savings account§

I tried a few random numbers and was told the retrieval number was invalid and hung up on me.

    fraud
I had a fraudulent check come through when I sold a couch on c-list. Good thing it seemed suspicious so I sent nothing to the c*cksucker.

It is definitely bank of america, just a simple survey, automated too, real quick and easy. No way a scammer would've know the info the message center had...

I got this call with the automated voice claiming to be Bank of America asking about my recent experience.  I just hung up.  I don't have any accounts with Bank of America so it smelled like a trap to me.

It's a sad world we live in....

It is BofA customer service survey. They asked for no personal or account information. They are a pain about repeated calling if you don't answer. You can answer and then decline to participate. I completed the survey which was 5 questions, about 60 seconds worth.

I received a call from this number that claimed to be calling on behalf of Bank of America, and left a number (866-459-9174) to call back to receive a personal message. Since I have an account w/BOA, I called them to confirm that this WAS NOT a call from them or on their behalf. All calls from BOA clearly state BANK OF AMERICA in the CID field.

a lot of conflicting information here. my experience was that it appeared to be a BofA survey and i, in fact, DID have a call to them regarding my accounts a few days before.

that said, the survey cut off right after I pressed 1 for english... so there is something suspicious about it.

I got the same call that everyone else got and my company sent out an email that this was a scam and there is no banks out there that would call and ask for you account number.  Never give that info to anyone over the phone.

I received a call from the number for the first time today, but wasn't home to receive the call; just saw it on my caller ID and it only said "Seattle WA."  I wondered if it could've been legit because I had a conversation with BofA yesterday, but I don't do surveys anyway, even if I was home.  Don't really know but I'll keep the scam in mind.
