4 mins ago on 11/7 my caller id showed 206-395-7160.   i called back the number and get a voice mail saying "thank you for calling customer service".  If you would like your number removed from our call list, please enter your telephone, area code first, on your touch tone phone. You will be required to confirm your phone number.   if you do not confirm your phone number, we will not be able to remove your  number from our call list. thank you."

There is aolutely no indication of who this "customer service" company is.

Same exact information as blondie posted.  I am on the Do Not Call List and this number keeps coming thru.  I have had more than 6 calls within the last couple of days, 2 - 3 a day.  When I redial same information as blondie.  I do know this is a Verizon number and I am on a Verizon service so I'm wondering if it would do any good to contact Verizon.  These people are annoying and there should be no reason what so ever that they are calling.

I get the same message- "thank you for calling customer service, please insert your phone number if you want to be removed from our call list" it goes on about how you HAVE TO enter your phone number to be removed from it. I didn't do anything- seems like a scam....

Just got a call from this number. They woke me up! Called back and got the same message everyone else did. I followed the instructions to be removed from their list. Let's see if they stick by it.

I got another call from them today so I picked it up. It was Ver-A-Fast which is a telemarketing company for a work at home opportunity. I applied for them recently so it was legit.

I have AT&T cell service and they have been calling me as well. So its not just a Verizon customer type of call. Also, they have called me at work.

I entered my number into the system to be removed from the calling list. The number of times this number calls me during the day now INCREASES since I entered my number. I wish I knew why this damn number is calling me. I don't believe I have signed up for anything recently.

I answered the call today and it was ACTUALLY a REAL person on the line this time. Turns out they were calling from the Star Tribune newspaper to see if I wanted to changed my subscription. Not sure if this helps you out now...

Keeps calling at random times and does not leave a message.

6 Calls in 48 hours from this number. Ignored the first 4, 5th was an unintelligible computer voice. The 6th was an actual person, albeit barely understandable, trying to offer me something to do with my Subscription to the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper.

You would be getting this for a renewal for the Trib as my subscription is about to expire and I have missed 3 calls already from them.  They are also starting to charge for content on the web so that is why you might be getting more frequent calls.  Unless you are a 7 day subscriber you do not get unlimited content online anymore.

I live in Canada and I got a call from this number on Nov 25.  No one on the line.  I advise you not to call back.

I'm in Southern Ontario Canada.  Got the same call, in fact everyday same time. It's an automatic call made by a computer. Looking for information that you don't want to give. JUST HANG UP, DON'T SAY ANYTHING!

yes! I got the same thing too for the past several weeks. It probably IS the Star Tribune for me. They're always calling to harass me about upgrading the newspaper. but they're on my crap list anyways - so i will continue to ignore. They call me at least twice a day at random times. Anytime I try to answer their automated voice telling me they will try back  comes on. Jerks.

These calls are from "411 type new-service companies" who hope that you will sign up for their search engines (for caller ID) at a monthly rate or per search fee.

I got my first call from them today....I'm sure it's the beginning of a daily thing...Followed the steps for removal but I'm not holding my breath. It seems like I get even more calls being on the DNCL. I know charities are still allowed to call but there are still way too many telemarketers that call my house. I'm tired of every charity in the world calling me asking for huge sums of money and when you tell them that you can't afford that they whittle it down to 25-50$ and you tell them again you can not afford it....Then they make you feel bad because you won't donate to charity. Well I do donate to charity, locally in my community. Help starts at home.

Based on what others have said here it is verafast.com acting on behalf of a company such as a newspaper that you may have subscribed to.  If you go to verafast.com and select the "Contacts" tab, in fine print at the bottom there is a phone number to call to get your number placed on their Do Not Call list within two business days.

I had a call last night from this number.  When I picked up the phone,  a computerized voice repeated their number and said it was verifying it.  I'm in Ontario Canada and I hung up.  I don't listen to computerized calls.

This is the second time that number called and didn't leave a message.
I don't answer the phone unless it's a number I know.
Add me to the list of those who do not like to answer the phone to be told to wait for the next available service representative.

I just received a call from this number today and wondered about it, but followed the instructions to have my number deleted from their calling system. They CLAIM it will be 2 business days before my number is removed which remains to be seen yet. However I do have another way to stop whomever from calling you. If you get to talk with an actual person from any number that calls you. First explain your number is on a do not call list.Then ask them to take your number off their calling list and to never call back again. AND THEN tell them this. If they continue calling you, you will be forced to contact your local police and your local police will be contacting them shortly. Contacting police has worked for me in the past when I had calls from a business in Michigan. My local police held a 3 way call with me and that business and informed that business that I was within my right to file charges against them if I decided too. NO ONE has the right to call your number if you have it blocked.
