This number calls my cell phone number sometimes twice a day.  They have called every day in the past week...no message ever left.  I will I had a way to block their number!

Call the number back, there is a way to remove your number from their list, all done without having to speak to anyone. It will take 2 business days to be totally removed from their list.

This company called to let me know that the Examiner newspaper was going to be delivered free to my house. I told them I was on the do-not-call list, and she said she would put me on their list. I yelled and told her that her company was supposed to already have bought the do-not-call list from the FTC.

I now believe that the Examiner is over-priced at "free".

Thanks for posting that other people are receiving these phone calls from this number.  It is the same pattern for me, a couple times every day, no message.   I was starting to think maybe it was someone I knew.   Does anyone know who they are?

We get phone calls from this number every day at different times. They do not leave a message.

Call the number back and you can type your number in to be removed. takes 2 business days. I actually answered when they called and a woman's recorded voice said "This is a verification call from verifast. Thank you" and then it hung up.... very strange

I got a live person and they said "we want to deliver The Examiner for free to your home" and I said I do not own my home and they said...uuuh ok.. we will call you back later.. click then i got millions of the same message. "This is a service verification call. we will call you back later" I finally called back and there is an option to remove your # from the list.. Hope this helps!

Calls from this number about 6-10 times daily.  I do not answer.  The recorded message sounds automated, something along the lines of "This is a service verification call.  We will call back another time."

I get 2 or 3 messages a day from this number saying that it is a "verification request" whatever that is.  I am on the do not call list and I see by doing a web search on this number that it is a solicitation call for a "Newspaper".  I put newspaper in quotes because I am familiar with this right wing propaganda rag.

I just get a message "Thank you for calling Customer Service. If you would like your number removed form our call list, please enter your number, Area Code First on your touch tone phone. You will be required to confirm your phone number. If you do not confirm your phone number we will not be able to remove your number from our call list."

Whose customer Service? They don;' do not call list.

I have put  number ( this is a new one ) on the federal 'Do Not Call List', but it has not been 30 days yet.

Just started for me recently. Until I saw that people have actually gotten a human and a sales pitch I assumed something more sinister. It is not too hard to 'hide' and actual number. That can be used to see if a home 'number' is not occupied.

Since there has been some human contact and it seems to be all over the US (I am in Va. myself) I suspect this is some sort of polling service which the inbound calls, even tho they are a recorded message or silence, can determine if a person or an answering machine answered the call.

Call it the underground Census. Of course, I did mention I lean toward the sinister. If you have caller ID and see this number, mess up their polling and do not answer the call.

started getting these call on May 5, says the same as the comments above 208-758-0226 currently filing bankruptcy and believe it is a collection agency trying to hound us...calls and hangs up when we answer or leaves the message as stated above if we don't..

Yes, the Verifast number calls at different times here as well and I finally answer and got a prerecorded number.  Based on some of the other helpful postings, I called right back and input my number to have it removed from their call list.  It will take 15 seconds and yes you won't have to speak to anyone.  Hopefully that exercise will put the non-stop calls to rest.
