I answered but put the phone on mute. I didn't hear anything for a long time. towards the end of the call I heard call center background noise. Then the call hung up. That call took 2 min 12 sec. The number showed up again right after the call ended. Repeated the same thing but this time call lasted 25 sec before they hung up.

I got 2 messages from this number. One was from a guy who I couldn't understand. The other was from a woman with an accent as well saying I had committed tax evasion....

Got a call from this number again.... so I know its fake... its automated and if they are going to arrest you they aren't going to give you a heads up..no name but it says "before the magistrate judge or exam jury for a federal criminal offense so before this matter goes to the Federal claims court hours or before you get arrested. Kindly call us back as soon as possible. The toll free number to reach us is 206-395-7893. Let me repeat the number 206-395-7893.  Hope to hear from you soon before the charges are pressed against you.. Thank you..,..."  Ridiculous people can't earn money they gotta lie and steal from others...

Got a call from this number telling me I committed Tax Fraud in 2009/2010. Said I was going to get arrested.   It was from a middle eastern sounding woman.  I did not file taxes in 2009/2010 because I was homeless.  Said she was from the U.S. Treasury Dept.

Got a call saying it was the treasury department...saying that I commited tax fraud..was going court or be arrested.Gave the number listed below..toll free. Toll free numbers are 800 numbers.

I got the same tax fraud message in an automative recording .... these people are in swarms its very sad i constantly get calls all day from BS'ers as these people ...

Sorry yes it was frim that same # 206-395-7893 everytime i answer , its quite no one ever says a thing they wait to leave that bogus message ...

Call from this number said I owe the irs wanted me to go Walgreen and get a voucher and send it to them wanted me to call them from the parking lot I called the police department and they saod its a scam

Rec'd same message as described about the magistrate . However, had a very pleasant deep voice, English was perfect and very professional sounding .

I have received this call twice in two days and it sounds as though it is an automated voice.  These people need to be arrested!!!  Shame on them for scaring some people!

I listened to their message... I owed the IRS $853, and if I did not pay today a warrant would be activated and the police would arrest me. I was to go to my bank, withdraw the money....I wasn't sure after that....I was told to keep the phone line open,  "IF I HUNG UP I WOULD ARRESTED"  Well I told them they were thieves and hung up.  No police, no kidding!!

Whew!!! I was like wth is going on. I don't owe the IRS crap.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration continue to hear from taxpayers who have received unsolicited calls from individuals demanding payment while fraudulently claiming to be from the IRS.
Based on the 90,000 complaints that TIGTA has received through its telephone hotline, to date, TIGTA has identified approximately 1,100 victims who have lost an estimated $5 million from these scams.
"There are clear warning signs about these scams, which continue at high levels throughout the nation,” said IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. “Taxpayers should remember their first contact with the IRS will not be a call from out of the blue, but through official correspondence sent through the mail. A big red flag for these scams are angry, threatening calls from people who say they are from the IRS and urging immediate payment. This is not how we operate. People should hang up immediately and contact TIGTA or the IRS.”
Additionally, it is important for taxpayers to know that the IRS:
Never asks for credit card, debit card or prepaid card information over the telephone.
Never insists that taxpayers use a specific payment method to pay tax obligations
Never requests immediate payment over the telephone and will not take enforcement action immediately following a phone conversation. Taxpayers usually receive prior notification of IRS enforcement action involving IRS tax liens or levies.

I received a call from this same # on yesterday...I played like I was terrible and in disbelief that I was in trouble and said "Oh my what am I gonna do?" she told me I didn't need to do anything bc my local sheriff would be at my house in 90 mins to arrest me for tax fraud, I then went in on them about their scam and of course they hung up so I immediately called back and lo and behold....no answer!!!

I've been receiving calls from this number saying they are calling from the treasury department. I committed tax fraud in 2014, and that I owe $541 or I would be issued a warrant and sentenced to do jail time.
