An other spam call...

Robocall.  Unfortunately, I couldn't catch the supposed company name, but it was about ways to save me money on my electric bill followed by "this is not a sales call."  That's when I hung up.  That's a lot of baloney that it's not a sales call!!!

I'm in Illinois and have been receiving a lot of robocalls about lowering my credit card interest rates and about electric rate savings due to deregulation.  The credit card thing is a big scam and I think this electric savings is a big scam too.

If you want information that doesn't involve a third-party illegal telemarketing scam artist. go to the Illinois Commerce Commission's website www.pluginillinois.org.

Last, but not least, report each and every scam call that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.

same as others.  robocall.  Have had 8 calls in two days.  Donotcall.gov is really of no use is it?  These telemarketers call at will, no action is ever taken against them.  I report every one and have for years.  Still, they persist and I think are on the increase.  I agree with Fed Up, above, that the deregulation of utilities in Illinois has spawned a lot of this third party scamming.

I kept getting these weird calls from numbers i never seen before..is there anyway we can fight against these people doing this. There has got to be away to trace these calls and get them in jail or something..

So sick of crap calls on my cell, which is on Donotcall. These buzzards called me today. Luckily, my phone was off at the time.

I'm in Illinois my husband and I are both receiving these calls on our cells.  Very frustrating to say the least.  I did not answer, and I have seen this number calling multiple times.  I do not ever answer unless I know the caller since they are not worth my minutes.

I don't appreciate calls to my cell phone from numbers I do not know.    This one is not to show up again.   What happened to the No Call list we are supposed to be on.

got this call and do not want them calling me.  did not answer but number showed up on the caller id.

I have so many calls from this number.  I am on no call lists, but that doesn't do any good.

Please immediately report each and every one of these illegal scam calls that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.  

You can gripe that it doesn't work, but they cannot do anything about it unless and until we report it!

got a call from this number a few minutes ago, supposedly offering alternative electric suppliers here in Illinois.  In return they will make a donation to loveourpets.org, which although supposedly registered with the IRS as a 501 (c) organization.  I can't find them on Charity Navigator, but the website looks suspicious.  I'm going to file a complaint with donotcall.gov and hope they get so many complaints that they take these folks down.  I'm also sending a note to my Congresswoman, these robocalls are out of control.

received call  at 12:36 pm.  No message.  Have received numerous messages from this and other unknown numbers.  Will reporting them to the do not call list actually help?

Unsolicited call of unknown nature, even though I am on do-not-call list

In NJ: Robocall from "Love Our Pet Charity", to change our electric utility company to save 20% and a donation in our name to http://loveourpets.org/. Press 1 for info, 9 to be removed from the call list.  Uh?  Getting calls for the last 30 days, and nothing gets removed.

I'm on the gov "Donotcall" list for the last 5+ years and renewed, but still get calls.  Does that say anything to you? Think carefully.

I got a call from these folks on the 5th, my Caller I.D. said "Pet Charity"  but it is not a pet charity at all. Just another credit card scammer. I was in the bathroom when the call came in, my son looked at the tv. where the caller id. was and he told me it said "Pet Charity" - I said what could that be? I told him not to pick it up, if it was a real charity it would say the name of the charity and they would leave a message on the voicemail. There was no message on the voicemail.

I have complained to the DNC. Hope it helps.
