Called and no one said anything, then hung up after awhile

I got a call from this #.  A computer voice said "7 PM eastern standard time. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day," and then hung up.  This was left on a voice mail, and it sounded like it may have said something before this.

i just got this call... it stated on my caller id 'insider events'.  so i almost picked it up...because i do a lot of networking...the machine got it, and they did not leave a message...thanks myster man...glad i didnt pick it up

I got a call from this number twice about 5 minutes ago.  As mentioned above, it stated "INSIDER EVENTS".  Caught the tail end of some recording BOTH times...

I listened to this company's message...pressed 1 to get a live person.  Soliciting lower credit card rates!  Told them I had more than 3k of credit card debit (not so).  Rep proceeded to ask me another question about my credit cards.  I asked Rep what company the call was coming from and Rep hung up in my ear.

WARNING!!!!!!  DO NOT GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE CALLING FROM THIS NUMBER.  YOU MAY LIVE TO REGRET IT!!!!!!

Forgot to add....stupid fools called a corporate number!!!!!!

got a call, no message left. call the number back and hit 1 to be placed on their no call list. BUT, this also may be a way to verify the number is right like with the 'unsubscribe' links on emails. so i guess nothing can be done...

It was the usual "lower your credit card rates" scam. I pressed 1 to talk to a human and had some fun. Caller sounded Indian.

Got a call on my cell from this number just now, they left a message about 4.8% interest rates or some such. I'm on the do not call cell phone registry. How can we report these people??

It's definitely a computer randomly dialing phone numbers -- somehow they got to my unlisted, *unused* phone number. Meaning I had never given out the number after I got it, to anyone. Ever.

the number 206-397-1533 has been calling me for months.  When i pick up, no one is there.  This is totally frustrating and annoying.

Just noticed a missed call on my cell; I didn't try to call it back but it's the second time I've received it and they never leave a message. I'd like to know how they got the number to begin with, is Verizon allowed to give it out for promotion purposes??

Reporting this to the FCC Consumer Complaint site. Please report these scam artists or they will never be caught. If we all flood the FCC with complaints, maybe they will do something other than a useless no call list. Something needs to be done to the people on the other end to keep them from even being allowed to call from disconnected or falsely identified numbers. Considering they used to disconnect people's lines for using what they considered to be foul language, you'd think they could do more than what they're doing now.

This is most likely connected to the restaurant TGIF $1000 daily sweepstakes.  I signed up for the daily giveaway yesterday and received this harassing today.  They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau by everyone.

They called me alot claiming to reduce my credit card debt. I'm 14 so I pressed '1' to talk to someone and they hung up on me.

Called about lowering my credit card interest rate. of course I press one. Guy answered the phone and asked if I was interested in lowering my interest rate. I said sure. His first question how much debt do I have and I told him that I didn't think I needed to tell him. He said good luck on your current rate and hung up.

Yet another entry into the long line of phone robots trying to get me a better interest rate on credit cards I don't have. Jokers like this have been continuously calling almost every day for over two years now from three dozen different fake phone numbers. Why can't something be done about this?
