Seems to be a scam to get info from innocent people who list their car for sale and are told that they would like to buy and send all your information so ....

Amanda Nelson <amandamelson196@gmail.com> who requested information from me to.... gave me this phone number to call but would not answer and could not call back. When I called there was no idntification of Person nor Company. Phishy.

Amanda Nelson also asked to purchase a car I had listed on Craigslist and then send me money via Paypal....this is a scam.

I was contacted over the web through craigslist.  Same email.  Total scam

I received an email from the same person using the same email address wanting to buy our car and to use paypal. However, the above phone number was listed. She insists that due to her work she can't contact us and her voice mail has a record voice mail. This is a scam.

We received an email from Amanda Nelson using the same email address as others have stated in these posts. She using this phone number now  206-309-4431. She won't call or give any info. When you call the number noone answers and a record voice come on. She insist that due to her work she can call or contact us. This is a scam

Yeah, well she...or he (who knows?) is going by the name Kelly Benson too, doing the same thing with me! I've requested that she call me so we can discuss the transaction BEFORE the transaction. I had a gut feeling about all of this and refused to do anything other than cash in person.

Can't believe this witch almost had me too. Same name, same everything. Funny how she or he (?!) disappeared off the face of the earth once I asked to speak over the phone. Also requested I send money via western union for the shipping. (Out of MY pocket!)

Amanda Nelson just contacted me regard a car I'm selling on Craigslist. Total scam!

Her response to my add:

more picture and what is the present condition of it.Am satisfied with
your advert price,as am requesting this transaction should be done via
PayPal so the PayPal charges is on me,If my offer is accepted send me
your PayPal email and your name including your phone# or send me money
request so i can pay you right away.I am busy at work and do not have
much time around me, but no worries as i am willing to handle the
picked of this merchandise through my legitimate mover agent cause i
will like it to be picked at your residence location,Make sure you get
back to me immediately, So no Shipping

Note the red flags... no specific references to the item sold... use of British term "advert" (Nigeria was a British colony till about 1961).... insistence on using Paypal (where charges can be easily reversed)....

I have a car for sale on craigslist and got exactly the same message word for word from Amanda!

the new email she/he/they are using is: "6663amanda@gmail.com" but with the same exact message. just a heads up peoples!

Did somebody fall for this already? they tried with me a couple days ago

Amanda Nelson attempting to fraud on Craigslist. Never give out your paypal information to her when she says she wants to make a transaction through your account or Western Union.

I also received a craigslist email reply... from 6663amanda@gmail.com. This person wanted to buy my hahn portfueler. I seriously doubted a female would be interested in products for secondary injector controllers but i replied stating i wanted $1k for everything (which is a great deal btw). Their reply was "Is that your final asking price".. which threw me off ( almost had me convinced amanda was a legit person) until i saw this thread.. glad i did some research..

I am going to write a follow up email thats nice and sweet and inlcude some pics of men banging horses just for them to look at when they open the email.. or perhaps some even nastier type of image, if my mind can think of one...that should make them happy...hahahaha!

I got an e-mail today from this person about my sons bed that I am selling on CL. It was word for word the same as posted here earlier. After reading it, I was suspicious. Research led me here. Thanks to all those who posted before me. Here is the e-mail.

What tipped me was that in the first response to my add, she?? used a different e-mail address.
