My wife got the call, "twice" and they indicated it was a "Windows security issue" and said it was "URGENT" and she would "lose everything!"...the guy went my "Eric" but I am guessing his name was Mohammed, and he was not from MSFT.  I insisted he tell me the name of the company he was with, and after I refused to believe "Windows tech support" he told me the name of the company was "Technical Support"  I asked him again and when he confirmed, I laughed out loud at his dumb a** and asked him to send me an email indicating his company & the purpose of his call (can you believe I am still waiting?!).  What a fckn' joke, they are the worst I have ever seen, DO NOT RESPOND to ANY of their requests for data...this is an international "tie line" to India/Pakistan/Asia via Seattle....no connection to MSFT, USA or your operating system...complete BS!

Got call from "Mark Wilson" saying he was from MS Support and that our computer is compromised. He needed us to login and allow him to log in so he could fix it.  Told him we didn't think so, no more calls since that one earlier this week.

Same deal,  call from "Mark Wilson" with heavy Indian accent  from 206 424-8913. Alleged our computer was hacked, wanted to do fix. tried to get us to turn over control of the computer to him remotely.   This is a scam. Beware. After credit card numbers, back accounts, etc.

This phone number is in a newspaper story of the Mohave Valley Daily News ( Dated March 6th 2014 ) page 1 . It is a scam.

My GF's elderly mother received a call from this same 206 number, and she let him access her iMac to fix a bogus Yahoo account issue.  For some inexplicable reason she gave up credit card info, as well, to which he ran a $179.99 charge for "Pegasus software." I called the cc company to have the charge reversed and made additional calls to lock down her identity.

Just got a call from them too. They told me to press the windows key and the R key. I told her I was reporting the call to the Police and she started cursing at me. I hung up and will be blocking that number.

Called me on 6/12/14 also. Had an accent I could hardly understand.Said he was from Tech Support, and I had been hacked.His name was Albert.He wanted me to turn my computer on so he could help me.I figured he was a scammer, came on here to look, and found out he was.This was a cell phone number, he told me it was computer dialed.The number he called from was 646-457-4289.He gave me the 206-424-8913 so I could check him out !

Yep, same thing on 6/23/14. Call center from "Windows Technical Dept."  We "downloaded some infected files that are hampering our computer."  I told him I would not be touching my computer under his direction until I verified that this wasn't a scam. I also said I wasn't the techie in the household. He said he'd call later when my husband (the techie) was home. I insisted on his giving ME his number, saying that if he were legitimate, he would do that. He reluctantly did. Looked it up on Google and here we are, in this delightful blog!

Called today from 1-809-545-8769, a lady with Windows tech support. I played along like I was dumb, she gave me a key number for my computer for windows. I have a mac lol. I asked for a call back number she made up one 1-206-424-8913 and said her supervisor was [***]...... Nice!
