Long story short-Wanted money for unpaid bill. Told him I couldn't pay it now. Kept on and on about getting money. Accused me of being on welfare and said I had a SH*TTY Attitude and I would never get anywhere in life with an attitude like mine. He screamed and yelled about collecting the money and I finally hang up.

Call and ask for a manager, I have delt with them on several matters adn was always treat fair, blocking form hitting my credit adn working out resonable payments. We get behind at times and I found them to be the best and most helpfull collectors I have ever delt with.

These people called me about a bill that my grandmother’s sister had!  She has been dead for three years and these people found my telephone number on a document from a doctors visit almost four years ago.
Call 800-821-5479 and speak with Cliff.  He is hard of hearing so you have to speak very loud.  His hearing was so bad that we had to speak with his supervisor.  
These people are not in the business of being nice, so be firm.

this is a number used by a dept collector. they state they have very important business and then try to get you to pay old debt that has been paid off. they are bottom feeders in my opinion.

They lie and leave deceiving messages. They are a debt collection agency. They keep calling and that person does not even live here anymore. They misrepresent themselves on the phone that they are a collection agency.

Wow... how many times do you have to call THE WRONG PERSON without receiving a call back before you give up? The call basically goes "If you ARE ________ or if you KNOW ____________ please call or have them call ... etc etc"

GIVE IT UP ALREADY. You have the wrong person AND she's deceased!!!

there is a person named jessica that will call from this phone number provide an 800 number and say that it is urgent matter to call her back - but leaves no information regarding what the call is regarding, who she is, or where she works... don't they know by now that people are a little cautious and will not just call any old number just because you say it's urgent... when i was able to answer her call I explained that the person she was calling for was not me and that the phone calls needed to stop - but they have not and I'm not sure what to do next. I've spoken to a supervisor but still the calls keep coming - isn't there something I can do to stop them from harrassing me?

Keep getting a VM with no response so I called the 800 821 5245 # and talked to the person who helped me out, was a nice guy and gave me a deal to boot..

These people call at almost all hours of the day and night. From reading the posts above, I bet it's about my late husband's bills. When he died (over six years ago!) he left a mess of bills. I paid them all, even went to court to settle his "estate." One credit card co. didn't submit their info by the court's deadline, so I didn't have to pay it (thank God). Still didn't stop a million of these jerks, one after the other, from buying the debt and trying to terrify me into paying it. Nice!

Ask your phone company how to block the number those nose-pickers are calling from.

First off,thank goodness for my application that blocks their calls. I bet I got u guys beat..they called me and left a message, had the nerve to say "I have some good news, give me a call back, u won"...that really took the cake. Never answer these vultures calls. Their address is on this page. Pay em a visit. I did. Shady [***]. They are just as much a crooked,dishonest, con artist as the people they are supposedly critisizing. Be firm with these [***], they are ruthless.

i got a call from this number the message said "tell me that you love me and will never leave me." i called the number which id united debt collection services

This number keeps calling my underage 14yo grandaughter...who the heck is this and why are they calling her!!!

It was a strange thing.  This number appeared the day before yesterday on my phone and from this website found out it looked to be United Collections Service.  Then yesterday, I got a call that registered as a business associate of mine and I answered thinking it was her.  Turns out it was United Collections Service!  I don't know what kind of software out there that can do that but it was scary!  The bill is legitimate, Jessica was pleasant enough, and I didn't argue, just made payment arrangements with my debit card for the next three months...hopefully we can swing those!

Ten to one that the posts stating that they had pleasent dealings with these people, are posts put up by employees from the "collection company"

I would not put it past them to resort to crazy shite like that.  I may be slightly paranoid, but I still feel like this isn't a way off base thought.

Every time they leave a voice mail message on my 'limited usage cell phone', (I buy just enough minutes in advance for emergency calls) they cost me money for no good reason.

I took the time to let them know there is no M******* Mendoza at my number.   Do they bother to remove my number from the list?   No, another call every month.  Are they hoping that I will meet M******* Mendoza sometime in the future and have him/her call them?   I LOVE the Reject List feature on my phone! (Thanks for wasting my time and voicemail UCS..)
