- WonderingReceived unknown call in which you are unable to call back-does not even receive dialtone ring
- AndreaThis person called my house a few minutes ago. I did not answer as I do not recognize the number. We have an answering machine, however the person did not leave a message. I looked up the number online found nothing regarding this phone number online. So, I decided to call it back to find out who it was that was calling. When I dialed the number nothing happens no dial tone nothing! I tried it a couple more times and received the same results!
- aprilunknown caller
- Larryjust called got no one answered.
- petheticGot a call from them and when I answered they didn't say anything. So when I called them back later on they were known as Assistant Support Group in which reduced the cost of payday loans. It sounded legit since it was someone who doesn't have an accent nor have but I have doubts with them so I just stated that I wasn't interested.

- Kevin| 2 repliesA Jason Lee initially sent me an email from some ADVANCEPAYDAYLOAN company saying they were going to automatically withrdrawl $786.00 from my bank acct, as I failed to pay back a pay day loan. I have done pay day loans on-line, which I had always paid back, but he claims this one was from March 2013. When I asked him what company, Jason stated he didn't have that info, as they are a collections company for several PDL on-line companies & they are told which one, just an amount that is due. I told him that I would call him during my lunch break at 1:00pm & right before I could call, I received a 911 call from this company & Jason Lee. Jason told me that in order for this not to go to the courts, he could prevent that if I pay $100.00 dollars or he could offer me a 1-time settlement for $432.00,but that it needed to be paid by 3:00. I advised him to email or fax me the documents, so I could review & was told that could only be done if I pay him first. I told him that I would call back at 5:00, to make the payment (no intentions to pay) & was told again I needed to do so by 3:00. He said I could call back at 5:00, but give him my debit card info now & he would process at 3;00 & send me the documents. I stated that I felf uncomfortable paying for something that I don't see the proof & he began getting agitated. I then asked if he would pay one of his bills without seeing proof first & he said this was becoming a legal matter. I said I would pay, but would need the documents first. Now he randomly calls me, no messasge & when I call 206-445-6128 & he nothing. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Just wish I could block the number!
Thank you everyone!- Caller: 206-445-6128
- Sam Buxbury - Tampa FL| 1 replyOn my business phone, I received a call from phone number (206)445-6128 while I was at lunch. They did not leave a message. My Caller ID shows it listed as [ASSIST].
Called them back, and a lady named Melissa answered. In the background you could here all the noises and other voices of a telephone call center. She said that they have several programs to help me reduce my Student Loan debt, said she would start filling out the on-line paperwork, and then started asking me for personal information to fill out the forms.
I told her that this is a business in Tampa FL, I have never had any Student Loans. She replied that someone at this number (my private business phone number!! Hah-haaa) had called and asked for information on reducing their Student Loan debt. I told her this is a business in Tampa FL, and please remove us from their phone call list. She said she would do that, and we pleasantly ended the conversation.
OBVIOUSLY, a bunch of scammers. [www.phonedetective.com] shows the phone number is a Cell Phone based in Seattle, Washington.- Caller: ASSIST

- Dennis| 2 repliesThis is a scam, These guys have been targeting me for several years now. They are in India. They use terms like "Law Suite", "Judgment" and other legal sounding terms, but if you push them, they get fluttered and either hang up or threaten to arrest you.
I found out that they use Google Phone, a VOIP Solution and I was able to determine how the fish the information from you. They pray on people, searching online for payday loans. They create a site, similar to one already in existence, then change the .com to a .net or .org, hoping you wont notice. Then you have the online application. This is a web form, with no option to go back, delete or resubmit your information. You type your name, click next, type your phone number, click next, type your SSN click next and so on and so on. That way they get your information even if you decide to stop the process (which is what I did). They didn't get any of my work information, however, by researching online, they found my work number and began harassing my workplace. Didn't work, because they had already called me well over 100 times in 2 days, I was on to them. I went back to their web page, found the domain name and followed that to a marketing company in India. That's where I stopped because I was not able to get the marketing company to give me the name of the client that hired them to set up the web page. I sent ALL of that information to the Secret Service due to this being fraud. The very nice agents took all the information and my local PD advised this is a KNOWN Scam.
So my friends, Don't be fooled. If you didn't take out a loan, don't pay anything. If you did, go to that establishment, if its in collections, they can and will direct you to the proper collections agency.
Oh, and when they lose their cool and cuss at you and threaten you, just remember, you win. I try and see how long I can keep them on the phone while talking about my dog and fish.... Amuses me to a degree.- Caller: SCAMMER
- Dennis replies to KevinGood Job with that one. Always best to see proof. These scammers are good at what they do. Great Job Challenging and great job posting. Thanks so much...I do think that's the same website I tracked back to India.
- Dennis replies to Sam Buxbury - Tampa FLThey use VOIP to spoof phone numbers, I have received calls from this number as well as law offices in New York and Washington DC. When I research, I find that the real owners of those numbers, changed them due to these scams. I even found the new number to a law office in NY and spoke to the real lawyer the scammers where impersonating while trying to get me to send them 3K. LOL. She was a criminal defense attorney, but they used her name and information to scam people and she was now having to defend herself and her practice against the repercussion of the scammers using her state bar number..
Its all a little tricky but just watch out. They will use the internet to find information about you, or just call you and ask questions... One example, Hi, Who am I speaking with..... If you answer with your first and last name.. bam, they look you up on the internet.... and away they go.. If they don't have a piece of information, they ask for it.... They scam for a living and would still be doing it if they were not good.
If they call back, have fun with them, I like to play "Hold on while I get my brother", then answer, listen, make some stuff up, when they ask a questions "Hold on while I get my brother", then start all over again... Keep that going until either you get bored or they hang up...... - PeterGot a call from this number no message.
- HarriettReceived a call on my cell phone today from this number. When I answered no one said anything so I hung up. Will ad this number to my blocked list.
- JamesWhen they call, both the house phone & cell phone ring at the same time. I don't answer unknown numbers and they don't leave messages. To all that read this that get regular calls from this number, answer the call and say 'feast on my ballsack', then hang up.
- ritathe same number just called me i didnt answer
- annoyedThey have called 6 times in the last 24 hours to my new mobile number. I finally answered their 6:37 am call. It was payday loans. She said I had used them in the past. I told her I was new to the US and it was a new phone number, please remove me from her call list. She said she was not allowed to.

- MelissaI had this happen to me at work from another phone # and unfortunately it got so bad I ended up getting fired. My job did not say it was because of the calls...but when you are being harassed every single day, it starts to mess with you so my job performance went down. The first time I answered is where I made my mistake...because I listened to what they said and told them I needed to see some type of paperwork as I had taken out a payday loan but I had paid it back...and as stated above they won't send you anything and it just starts a phone war with them. To make matters worse in my case was the fact that my boss decided it was a good idea to jack with them one day when I was out of the office...telling them he was me - they said no it's not you're a man, my boss said I had a sex change this is Melissa...I guess it went on and on and he said they got rude and crude and he just laughed at them. All that did is make them start harassing me even more and becoming very rude telling me they were going to come to my work and shove something up my a#s. I reported them to the FTC and they said it was actually extortion as they were demanding money from me and that I needed to also report it to the police department. The police cannot do anything about it - so basically ANYTIME I get a call from a number I do not know I look it up on-line to see who it is and if anyone has reported anything. So I hope my story will help someone else - it is a SCAM don't engage them!
