I received a phone call this morning, recording stated that I am being sued by IRS. These foreigner called me last year also about a free grant, but want me to wire them $250 plus $600 to receive $6000, told them to go yo HELL. They need to be stopped. Don't know the name.

These are criminal extortionists operating in overseas boiler rooms using VOIP to alter their identities and locations and out of the reach of US law enforcement.

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

Left message about my case file and to call back their department immediately at 206 488-7405. Name on caller id came up as Yacub Nassir A.  Got same message yesterday from a different # and caller id showed Clear Channel

got a call from 206-488-7405 on 2/23/16, voicemail said they were irs  and they were sueing me ,caller id shows yacub nassir a.

Automated female voice stating the IRS is suing me.

We've received 5 calls from this bozo this afternoon!  This is ridiculous! This that Nassir Yacub that says you're being sued by the IRS. I think it's ludicrous that something can't be done about these people. I don't know which is worse - these "people" preying on our citizens or the ones that get on dating/meeting sites & impersonate a US service member!

Same telephone number, threatened I warrant for criminal federal prosecution.  Wanted 3,900, then dropped to 1000 then 500.  He told me not to contact anyone about the call.  Called my tax attorney and they told me it was a scam.

Today, february 24, 2016 I received a call from 206 488 7405 telling me that i have a lawsuit with IRS, I hanged up because  I suspect an scam scheme and it is.

These morons called me at 5am. I am Certified CPA. Let me say this to anyone who hopefully is smart enough to google the number before dealing with these frauds. THE IRS WILL NEVER EVER CONTACT YOU VIA PHONE OR EMAIL. EVER. They will only contact you via snail mail, and even then you should research who you local IRS branch is and contact them. These people are grifters pure and simple. They are con artists. Check with your phone carrier and determine how to block their number and do so every time they call.

Same IRS scam call.  Wish there was a way ti forward these vmails to FCC.

Called three time today already, expect more later. Same name as other complaints (Yacub Nassir A) and female voice (at least that is what it sounds like but probably some guy impersonating a woman). The 3 messages were the same (robocalls) and recorded. I can't even blow my siren into the phone if I did want to answer it and give them whatfor. Have fun people but by no means should you answer these calls since that is the way they decide you are a real person and will just keep calling at all hours of the day and night.

Received a call twice this week stating I had a lawsuit/claim against me.  Have not answered nor will I as I know I would and should be contacted by attorneys by letter, etc. if was a true litigation.

Please block this number. It had attack our home at least 5 time in a few hours today.

Complete frauds. Please warn all you friends via social media to be on the look out for these type of calls. Let all your elderly friends who may not be on social media know also, as they are the targets. Knowledge is power, and getting the word out of the only way we can stop these people.
