- BubbaGetting these calls regularly though you on the Do Not Call Registry? Solution: Use your **Selective** Call Forwarding for this or any nuisance caller number. It will forward any calls originating from that number to someplace else. I recommend the phone number for the Federal Do Not Call Registry, 888-382-1222. Details in your phone provider's documentation.

- Ruf| 11 repliesAsking or begging telemarketers to stop calling does not work.
Attempting to contact them is impossible.
Filing a complaint with the FTC can takes years.
Getting angry or upset just makes it worse.
Complaining on message boards accomplishes nothing.
You have two options:
1. Ignore the calls and continue to be harassed.
or
2. Answer the call, pretend you're interested and WASTE THEIR TIME.
Wasting a telemarketer's time is the most effective thing you can do because it disrupts their scam. - yepmetooyes, i got this morning....voice mail...said we have been texting that number and never answerin g when they call..never seen it before
- arimgot call and no reply from the other end! god bless their souls!
- KevinJust got a call from this number. They left a voice mail about some tiype of dental coverage. It's more than likely a scam.

- irritated !I hate these types of calls. I'm on the do not call list. They keep calling my business cell. And I don't need dental insurance. Its a lousy spammer ! I wish the government would shut them down. All of these scum. Perhaps if more people wouldn't get sucked in to buying from these kind of people they would all stop. They prey on the ignorant.

- Blue| 1 replyIt's the mormons calling wanting your vote.
- Caller: religious
- Call type: Political call
- Bellestory replies to Ruf| 2 repliesThat's what I do when they persist. I ask personal questions, about their families, where they live and once I called back, got a manager and tried to sell him homade cookies, mixed breed puppies and high heels. I called him 5 times before he let it go to voice mail but they seem to give up when you treat them like that.
- Barbara| 3 repliesHere's the answer to all your prayers. Telemarketers almost exclusively use "autodialers" to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have the reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they listen for any tones generated. They then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. "IF" the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this tone PLUS the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you're not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of the message place the 3 tones (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE). The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it's a disconnected number. After you insert the 3 tones play your regular greeting. DONE. In a few weeks you will be off of all the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that's a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to people you know that get junk calls or even help post this on these websites. GET RID OF JUNK CALLS.

- Bob replies to Rudeawakening| 6 repliesI just called the number back, got a recording (trying to sell me dental insurance), but it did give me an option to press '9' to be taken off of the call list. I pressed 9. Only time will tell if that actually did anything.
