Found number on caller ID

I received a call at 5:53 Central Daylight Saving Time from this number. When I answered there was silence for a moment then a female voice saying "Goodbye".  Who or what the heck is "Dorothy Beach"??

Answer it and a recording says Goodbye

They called twice and were trying to get my Windows ID number off me.  Said they were from Microsoft and my computer might be infected so I should give them my Windows ID number so they could check!!!    Man has an accent.   First time I hung up...next day told them it was bull & reporting them to RCMP anti-fraud squad.

I just said hello twice and since no one said anything, I figures it was a wrong number.  It bothers me though when you know someone on the other line doesn't even care to say "Sorry, wrong number."  So that's why I checked online.  Seems to me, if you are giving out any information to a stranger, you must be a fool.

They call my parents at least once a week, for almost a year now. Guy with thick accent says he's "from Microsoft and their computer is infected", and he needs Windows ID number to check... However, he just changed his strategy, now saying "does your Windows ID # start with 888".

The whole thing is so stupid its hilarious, as my parents do not even own a computer, and that's what they say everytime. They have caller ID, I don't know why they pick up the phone.

I got a call from them today and a woman with a thick accent asking me if i was interested i going back to school, i said yes, a then she asked when and gave me options of immediately, 1-2 months, or 2-4 months. i told her i didnt know for financial reasons and she made me choose anyways. Then she asked when i graduated highschool so i told her and then she aked what i would like to study so she could get me the information. I told her i hadnt really thought about it enough to make a decision on what i would like to study and she got really forceful asking me to choose one. I then told her that i changed my mind and i didnt want any information and she then said F you and i hung up.

They just kept calling and calling...they said nothing for the first few times. I had called back and they said to "press 1" to be put on thier do not call list. I pressed 1 however, I continued to get calls from them. The reason I run to the phone is because they call and wake up my son which makes me furious. I answered today and there was a man on the other line..finally said hello and then I said that I was on the do not call list and to stop calling..he said, "hey...hey....hey.." and hung up. Sounds like a freaking child but I know its just some stupid scam. I blocked the number today so they should not be able to harass me anymore. I just feel bad for elderly people who trust these scam atrists.

Someone from this number has called me on 4 different occasions (6/25/12 at 5:39pm; 6/28/12 at 1:48pm; 6/29/12 at 2:29pm and 7/3/12 at 1:56pm). No one ever says anything when the call is answered.  Based on previous comments it looks like this is a scam.

This call comes through daily. When I've answered to find out who or what it is and to tell them they've reached a "Do Not Call" number a recorded voice says "Goodbye." This is quite annoying.  I have an answering service and caller ID and am a registered "DO NOT CALL" subscriber.  Does anyone know who or what "JGCLD" is? How can I make this stop?

Most ridiculous scam ever! I sussed uot they were scamming but played along to see what they wanted.
Some guy with a heavy accent said they have been trying to contact me b/c my computer is infected.
Asks does your windows ID start with 888. I play dumb. He starts coaching me to go to start menu , click on RUN then start typing stuff in. At this point I started laughing and told him he was the stupidest scammer on the planet and hung up, lol. What an idiot!

A woman with a thick accent called my place of business, asked for me by name and once transferred to me said she was calling me regarding my request for school. I told her I never requested information and asked why she was calling my place of employment and that I would never give my work number for anyone to call me. She said "oh, this is a business". Yes, when you call a business and they answer the phone with the name of that business and you get transferred to an extension who answers it as a professional, then yes you have called a business. I think she needs to take a class on common sense and I don't know, maybe actually pay attention to what people say when they answer the phone!!!

I got several calls by this number too, but I dont answer.
If I dont recognize the number n no voicemail, I dont bother, easy.

this number calls me at least 4 times a day. i dont answer it as i dont recognize it i finallly looked it up to find this site...

I got a call from this number,
Said it was student services.
I told her I was the party she was looking for, he said " F### You" and hung up.

I want to press charges.

I got a call from them today.  A man asked for Mary (couldn't get the last name as the call was breaking up)  I said 'no you have a wrong number' and he said "Maybe not.  I'm trying to start a verification service, would you mind verifying some information for me?"  I said no and hung up right away.  Didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday.  This scam has been going around for a long time.

sounded like a teen he asked for me and he said are u in the gard i hung up then for hevins sake im 11 and idident give my phone number out they called my home too

i reversed lookupp his phone number and he lives in seattle WA
