someone called my phone number today at 12:57, identified themselves as debbie ann calling from medical assistance program.  i stopped her, told her to remove my name from her list i don't accept phone solictations.  she responded, she woudl NOT remove my name from her list, she WOULD call me everyday, several times a day.  I asked her again who she was, she said "debbie ann", clean out your ears.  I asked her again where she was calling from and she said "your mans phone b-tch" and had the audacity to hang up on me.  when i called the number back there was ability to remove your number from the list.  

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone - when I heard what she was calling about (something medical), I told her to take me off of their calling lists and to never call my number again -- she responded "Are you telling me what to do?"  Are you ordering me?"  I said Yes, because our State has state laws about this and not to call me ever again.  She then said, indiginantly, "You can't ORDER me or tell me what to do, you're not my momma"!  And she hung up!  What professionalism!  Am reporting this to my State authorities also.  Unbelieveable response from her -- says a lot about her character and the business she represents!

I answerd, said "hello?" then heard nothing, said "hello?" again heard a beep and then a "goodbye" and the call disconnected.

You should never call any number that you suspect might be from a telemarketer because:
(1) It confirms that your number is an active number,  which will lead to your number being sold to other telemarketing firms, and
(2)  The telemarketing company can justify your call back as an "attempt to conduct business" with them and that gives them the right to contact you for the next 18 months (which is not covered under the Do Not Call legislation).

WA, USA. The woman Debbie said she was from a, "Medical Assistance Program." She tried to sell me  topical pain creme.

 She first told me she was calling people with chronic pain offering a topical pain creme.  Saying, I wouldn't have to pay for it because it would be covered be my insurance.  She kept asking for my Doctor's information to fax him a prescription.  I said, no thanks, but I'll take your info down to ask my Dr. She went on repeating everything she said, after anything I said. I hung up.

This is why I rarely ever pick up the phone from an unfamiliar number. But I'm worried someday it could be a family emergency calling from a pay phone or someone's cell phone.  

I also just got a call from 206-582-7956 from a man claiming they got my number from my dr through a pain form I had filled out.  He also talked about a topical pain cream they wanted to send me and that I wouldn't have to pay, they would bill my insurance.  In the background I heard talking and laughing and I asked him what was all that noise in the background.  He stated it was his coworkers, I told him I wasn't comfortable giving any infor over  phone, that how was I to know they were legit, he then gave me to a female named Vanessa.  We talked about how the company gets referrals from physicians for pain management and took my name address and dr's phone #.  She sounded legit but I didn't give her my ins info I told her I had lost my card and was waiting for a replacement.  I got her # 855-809-0375 ext124 and told her I'd call her back with info once I received my card.  We hung up and I called # back a woman answered stating customer service how may I help you.  I asked what company this was, she stated she handles several companies, i asked do you deal with Medication Assistance she said yes, I said thank you and hung up.  I proceed to call my dr office and spoke with the manager.  He stated it was a scam call that they never refer or sell patients info to outside companies without letting their patients know.  I now know I won't be calling that company back.

Recv'd a call from this #.  I was lucky enough (based on the messages here) not to have heard it ring.  No message was left.  

Just received a call from this number a few minutes ago. I answered and said "Hello" twice, then I heard an automated female voice say "Goodbye" and it disconnected. I called the number back and it said to press any key to be removed. Weird.

The caller asked me to participate in a medical study for RA which i declined.  She called both my home and cell phone, i answered because i misread the area code and thought it was one of our local ones.  The donotcall registry is certainly a waste of taxpayers' money.  I think these annoying callers must use the donotcall list as their calling list, since i registered i get 4 or 5 calls a day, before, i got one or two a week.

I got a call from the 206-582-7956 number a few minutes ago and I did not answer it.   I don't know how or why they got my cellphone number but if I was to ever answer it, I will have to make sure I have an air-horn to blow in their ears to get them to stop calling me.

Same as other posters.  Caller refused my demand to remove me from the calling list, refused to let me speak to a supervisor even after I reminded her that there is a federal law requiring removal.  I said "good-bye" and hung up.

I just got a call from this number and I answered it. It was a guy, he was either British, African, or Australian. he asked if any body in my house hold, had any pain (back, shoulder, etc.,) I said no, but he answered really politely and said goodbye. but I just hung up.
