These people continue to call me at home and at work. I have done everything I am supposed to do legally, I told them not to call work, they don't care, I asked for a letter to send them a certified letter, they don't have an address...really? They don't physically exist??? I have filed a complaint with the attorney general of the state, and I have had my attorney call them. It only slows them down for a few weeks then they are back at it again...If anyone figures it out please let us know!!!! This can drive someone to their death!!

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so. Tell your employer that the calls are from extortion scammers and to hang up. You can print this out for them. They can also file complaints and see about blocking the number also. If you have a cell, you can get free apps, some of the new phones already have call blocking.

File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

The callers are unprofessional.   They sound like they are of Indian decent, but use American names. They refused to send any written documentation or provide an address for contacting them.  They call my job ALL DAY and provide the information to anyone who answers the phone.  They are relentless and deliberately try to tie up all the phone lines.  The caller said he will call everyday from January to December.  This has to be illegal!

He said his name was "Ryan Dunn," I instantly knew he was BSing me. He then stated he needed to talk to the owner of the business and said it was regarding a legal matter, and that he was with some Department of Investigation, which does not exist. He said the owner had 10 minutes to call him back. I told him he wouldn't get a call back if he didn't tell me what it was regarding and asked if I wanted back to back harassment calls. I told him to do what he wanted, he called about 20 times back to back and then gave up.
He got upset when I asked why a "federal investigation department" was calling me with a skype number.

They have been calling me and my coworkers for over an hour now. We finally unplugged our phones and are using our cell phones for buisness. UGH!!! They will not give me a physcial address, a date of when the transaction occured. I filed a compliant with the Attorney General's Office but it takes 30 days to get on the no call list and by then they will have a new number to harass me at. I do not owe them anything because I have never taken out an internet loan. I only have a home loan/mortgage so I have no idea how they got my # and information.

206-582-7965 is scamming Robocall that hangs up as soon as it's answered.
It's from a Seattle landline so you can't text them to stop.
It will call your number at least once a day until you call back.
If you call back your time will be held hostage to a recording of a woman threatening to call again and again unless you leave a message with your number asking them to stop, and even then it may take many days before the calls will stop.
The woman in the recording says "we" are a survey group, but it's a secret who is paying.
So it's either a corrupt corporate political Koch brothers type front group doing a push poll against the public interest,
or it's a corporate marketing push for some completely unnecessary scamming toxic product.

I will call the Washington State Attorney General's Office (http://www.atg.wa.gov/telemarketing-fraud#sthash.J48ONIoS.dpuf) tomorrow at 1-800-551-4636 between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm PST, and tell them all the facts above that I have learned and that I think if recurring Robo hang up calls aren't classified as illegal harassment in Washington State by now, they should be.

I will also ask that all the individuals involved with obtaining and activating the Robocall telephone number not be allowed to buy anymore US phone numbers unless or until they can figure out a way to make restitution to everyone they have intruded on and stolen time from so far.

If you do it too maybe we can stop this.
    Thanks!

Webpage for the number you mentioned : https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-206-582-7965

On that thread someone mentioned "Bennett Research Services"

Your make allegations that particular types of people are making these calls.
If you don't have proof, don't make allegations - it looks like you are ranting your biases.

I don't remember the voice on the answering machine I got when I called the the number to ask them to stop identifying the company at all. The information given was simply that it was a research company who would not divulge who was paying for the "research". I'm furious that people need to research loophole telemarketing groups who call people on do not call lists.

Speaking of bias, who do you work for?

You seem to be insinuating that William's post was biased.  I see nothing to that effect.

One last thing, William, if intrusive hang up survey creeps don't identify themselves upfront their victims are perfectly free to guess at their bad business out loud.

If it bothers the lawyer in you, try to think of the guesses as the most direct questions this type of dark money creepy business allows for: Do you work for a Koch brothers type front rigging the democratic process? Or are you push-polling a new toxic unnecessary product?
