listens and hangs up

This number has called me numerous times in the last few days.  After I reject the call, it redials and has done this a few times now.  I'm getting ticked off as when I answer to tell them to stop calling, there is no one there.

This number has called me eleven times today! I'm getting ticked off, when I answer the phone, they just listen and then don't say anything? I keep telling them not to call, and they keep calling me. Like SCREW off.

Another telemarketer  -  bright as a doorknob as usual.  Rings 4 times and hangs up.
Like others have said  ...   Thank God for Call Display.

They called me four times today.  First time I answered and the "caller" hung up.  Next few times I picked up but didn't say anything, and there was nothing on the other end.  I have now blocked the number, so they won't be getting through anymore...  Some telemarketing company from Des Moines WA--guess they have nothing better to do in Seattle than bug Canadians.

This number/guy has called my house here in the northern virginia area 4 times today and i finally picked up the final call and told them to stop calling after the guy asked for the man of the house. I hate telemarketers!

It was a telemarketing call trying to push Bell Solo products.  They call at least once a week.  Last week was the final straw, and I asked Bell to stop it.  This is the reply from Bell:

"I wish to advise you that we have received a number of reports about
this.  These calls seem to be coming from overseas and appear to be a
scam.  Our security department is currently investigating this issue
since it affects our company's name and reputation.  We would like to
ask for your assistance in our investigation.  Kindly reply to this
email and provide us with more details on these calls you have received."

So its a scam.  Report this to Bell ASAP.

Called asking to speak to "Mrs. _____", when I said she wasn't available and that I could take a message, person said, "No, thank you" and hung up. How strange.

I am repeatedly getting calls from this number.  Because of call display I don't answer but on one phone the call display is poor.  I did answer and they seemed to be offering Bell products - I asked them to have Bell call me and hung up.
