Pre-recorded message claiming to be from the IRS, saying they are filling a lawsuit against me.

Just like the previous post, caller claimed to be from the IRS and threatening to file a lawsuit against me. I get these calls so often, but from different telephone numbers, that I don't even think it's random any more. Fortunately I have an app that blocks any and all phone numbers that aren't on my contact list.

Recieved voicemail that FINAL notice IRS filing lawsuit, last chance to call back( this was first cal ever received). I called, thick accent answered on first ring. Name: David Cook. Stated authorities will be coming to arrest me that they had completed an audit of years 2009 - 2013 and an error in calculations had occurred, asked if I had done this on purpose(call being recorded and would be used in court). They would seize all my belongings and bank accounts. I had 2 options: go to federal court in washington w/my attorney OR pay them over the phone. They would also set up a payment plan with me.
I responded that, I would leave work early today and drive to the local IRS office and speak with someone in person. "David Cook" then said thank you maam and hung up on me!

Yes a computer called me claiming to be the IRS, threatening legal action.....LMAO!     GET A LIFE YOU SCAMMERS, nobody is gonna call you back, and nothing is gonna happen.

SCAM – A prerecorded message left in VM: “... This call is official and final notice from the IRS… IRS is filing a lawsuit against you…”  Of course it is a scam.  Never return these calls.  The IRS never makes calls like this!

Same calls as mentioned, called me today claiming to be the irs, I called the number back and it went straight to a generic voicemail from a CELL phone company!

Don't return their calls.  It is a SCAM.  The IRS never makes calls like these.  Do not worry -- Official notices are never by phone, but official USPS mail!  Check out the IRS website:
