Got a bogus call from some Fraud Investigations company saying I am being sued because I owe a payday loan. Wanted to verify my employment and other personal info. I told them go ahead with their suit and I was not going to help them by giving my info. This is totally fraud because I asked why I haven't received any info by mail and the lady got mad and told me she would see me in court.  This is my second call from these people so now I feel harassed and is going the the police.

They also speak very bad English which makes this even more suspicious.

I have been getting calls 10 times a day from theses people. I applied for a loan on line never got it. I keep getting voice mails from some guy named Lee Wotson in a thick accent saying that I have a fraud case against me because I did not pay this loan back. They told me that in order to stop the case that I had to writ a letter to them and of course they told me what it was supposed to say. They also told me that I had to come up with half the amount today to send them. They asked what method of payment I was going to use to pay and I told them money order they said this is a law firm we do not take cash or money orders. That is how I knew they were full of it. Every lawyer I know takes cash. They wanted me to western union them this money to a place called Radiant Services and did not give me an address. They wanted me to fax this letter and a copy of my driver licence. When I found out that they were from John Washington and Associates I looked it up that firm is in Texas and they are calling from a Seattle

This is a version of the you-have-committed-a-crime extortion scam and you are being...
1. charged with fraud or passing bad checks or embezzlement or
2. served with a court summons or arrest warrant or bench warrant or whatever or
3. located in preparation to being served or for a lawsuit or to be arrested or
4. sued for cable TV usage that you've been stealing for years or
5. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

And you have to...
1. call back with your case number or
2. confirm your address or SSN or whatever so you can be served or your papers can be processed or
3. pay $895 now to avoid paying $5,000 in court or
4. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

Beware extortion scams come in many flavors and they constantly evolve to stay one step ahead of the law.

Never do what they tell you to do but report them to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

i just received a call from them...they are saying I received a loan in JUne which never happened...I get calls like this all the time

I did a phone call frOm this number as well they call to work job and they told my associates to have me to call back they said it was law firm! I did not call back so I went my sight and block the number and now they are calling me unknown I do not answer! they are trying to tell me that I owe an loan that I never took out a loan for US  Cash Advance! I do not not understand y they are so aggravating!;) I have been calls every since Dec from different numbers it is so aggravating!

My dad too just received a call from same no saying my brother took a payday loan ,80 % of which has been paid. a balance of $178 is yet to be paid. dad asked about loan info which they refused to tell. when dad asked how can u pass a loan to a student who dint show you a proof of payment,they said its unsecured loan or something.my dad took their no and told to call back after talking to my bro. when he called back to tell that my bro has no such loan, firstly the person handed phone to somebody else and then talked back saying they are gonna summon us. my dad hanged up saying do what you wanna do and m going to police. is it possible they have our financial info or something? we dint provide any info,can they still be of harm ?
