Called and left a message on my home phone that they were the IRS and we were being sued.

Caller ID # 720-592-6584 automated message "Hello we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service is the reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 206-792-9579. I repeat 206-792-9579. Thank you."

received call too!  same number saying final notice regarding a lawsuit against us.  never received this call before nor did we receive any letter.  is this a scam or not?  i returned call and just rang and rang

I received the same call today. Caller ID showed name not found for 723--592-6514. Automated message stated they were calling because the IRS is suing me and to call this number #206-792-9579 to get more information about the case. This is IRS scam season!

Called me too. Same recording.   Sadly some people must fall for this.   They did this last year to me too.    Honestly should be arrested

Absolutely its a scam. They will ask or rather SCREAM at you to buy a money oak card and read the numbers to them. Not hey are simply stealing money.  YOUR MONEY IF YOU LET THEM

Same BS line.  Automated voice claiming to have been trying to contact me, and the IRS is going to sue me...   You know...  because the IRS sues people...  The number itself seems to be connected to something called www.jobada.com.  Internet marketing.  Caller ID was (413) 792-9579

My recording says Internal Revenue Services.   Ha

received a call saying I was being sued, was told the police had a warrant for my arrest out unless I paid $1850 dollars

I received the same call last night. I knew it was a scam, so I called back, spoke softly saying I had a cold, asked if this was the IRS and could he hear me, he said yes, and I blew a super loud whistle into the phone, hopefully breaking his eardrum, and added a few personal expletives ,heard him cursing, laughed and hung up!! Try it!

We received a call at 1:11 pm from a 1-279-315-0000. The phone display said "name not found", so we did not answer. They left a message. It was a robot message telling us that the IRS has been trying to reach us and we are going to be sued. The robot left a number 206-792-9579. Of course we are not going to call the number back, but I will have to get on the phone to my elderly parents and make sure they understand this is a scam. I wish people would find honest respectable work!!!

Received a call saying they were the IRS and a final notice for a lawsuit against us. Nothing but a scam. Go out and get a real job and let us hardworking people alone!!!

This was the number left in a voice message on my cell phone to settle the IRS lawsuit. Totally ignored it. Others in our community received the same type of call, different phone numbers. These guys must be making millions from unsuspecting victims.
The whistle blowing I don't go for, since there may be some uninformed person who really believes they are doing a legit job.

I received the same call/recorded message claiming to be from the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me; return call to 206-792-9579...'they' called both my home phone and my cell. I called the number on my caller ID it went to a recording that said it was a non-working number, I haven't got hold of anyone at the number left in the message....I'm curious as to how this scam works.

Received the same call as Nikki above.  I called the number but no one pick-up after 30+ rings.

I will be contacting the IRS on Monday, FBI, AT&T and the United State Attorney General Office Monday.

Irs filing a law suit against me.This needs to be stopped....LOSERS......GET A REAL JOB,SURE YOU NEVER PAID A $$ IN TAXES EVER.It is easier for you to be a crook and gain financially...

Received a call from 206-792-9579, stating the same message as noted above. "This is the IRS, we are in the process of filing a lawsuit against you."  I called them back, today, phone rang multiple time before someone answered.  It was a male with a heavy eastern European accent  heard others voices in the background.  Truly a scam.  We need to fix this and stop this kind of activity.  Elderly persons are being scammed!!!

Same call left on my machine.  Won't waste my time calling back. Glad to see all these others post to confirm my suspicions. If the IRS wants you they will always contact you by email.
