Caller said they were from microsoft reporting a virus.

Caller (Alex) said they were from microsoft reporting a virus. this is 2nd time this individuals are calling me indicating that my computer has virus. They r very aggressive asking for privite details.

Do not allow them access to you pc or laptop!  They call and say they are from Microsoft. Wrong Microsoft wil NEVER contact you unless you ask them to. Checked with microsoft after the call.
These people tell you to go to eventvw on your pc and see all othe error messages. Then they get frustrated and treat your stupid and ask you to go to ammyy.com and allow them access to your pc. When you say that that is not a microsft website and you aren't allowing them access, they give you the 206-792-9991 number and say it is the customer care number. I looked them up on another pc when they were talking to me. Knew I was being scammed. They speak rotten English and you can hear they are a call center in the background. If you get a call from someone saying they are from Microsoft hang up and contact Microsoft immediately.  You can chat with a rep from microsft on-line.
I did and sure am glad I didn't let these people have access. Close call though.

Oh btw they knew our name address and phone number.

Just had "Christopher" from Microsoft call to say I have an issue refarding my computer. I asked to speak with his supervisor, since this has been an on going issue of them phoning me. A "Roger" who sounded exactly like "Christopher" told me the same thing that there is a problem with my computer. He was very rude and aggressive in trying to get computer information from me. Of course I did not give them any info!

I have recieved 4 calls from these people, telling me each time my computer has been hacked. I told then I dont trust them so they gave a phone number to verify 206-792-9991. Instead I called Microsoft and they told they would never call the customer unless returing their call. Plus they also said if they do call their number would NOT come up private and it would start with 1-800 or 1-877.....do not give any information to these people. and to top things off the guys were rude and could barley speak English.

"Jason" duped my daughter into hitting their website (I don't know the URL). The "PC Care (Trial Version)" seemed to be indiscriminately deleting files when I turned off the computer and rebooted in Safe Mode. Restoring to a previous synch point seems to have made the OS operational.  We are now trying to restore applications.

its a scam! they say they are from microsoft and you have a virus. they than will try to convince you to download antivirus software which is the true virus. the software they install is remote access so they can control your computer! do not do it!
