Called about noon.  They knew my credit card company, said "nothing wrong with your card" but we want to offer you a cheaper rate on your balance.   I called back the number and it is a "non-working number".  I called my credit card company and they said it had to be a scam they did not do phone solicitations nor sell my phone number

DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION. THIS IS A SCAM.

Just got a call. It was an automated message offering to lower my credit card rate saying it was my final notice at this opportunity. Press 1 if I want to talk to a rep because the offer expires today. I pressed 1 and a guy with an Indian accent answer.

Guy: Hello, thank you for calling. I assume you're calling because you want to lower your credit card rate, right?
    Me: Yes
Guy: Which credit card do you want to lower, Visa, Mastercard?
Me: Oh, I thought this was my credit card company.
Guy: Yes, do you want to lower your Visa Chase card?
Me: Are you with Chase or a different company?

Then he hung up on me. I can only assume he was going to try to get information for as many credit cards as he could claiming to "lower" my rate.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION. THIS IS A SCAM.

Same as above - calling about lowering my credit card rate. When prompted to dial "1" to speak with an operator, he answered:

Operator: You are calling with regard to your credit card rate?"
Me: Place me on your do not call list.

    Operator hung up.

Pressed one and spoke to gentleman with a very thick accent. He advised he was trying to lower my Chase, Citi, Sears etc. card balance through a lower interest rate. I questioned which card I had.  He again listed all the major card companies. Advised to not call me again. If they don't know my name nor which card they are apparently lowing my interest rate in they must be pulling some type of scam. He hung up in the middle of me speaking.

Called about 12:50 pm. Said with credit card service center, "nothing wrong with your card" but we want to offer you a cheaper rate on your balance. Press# 1 to speak to an operator, (there was no #2 option, to be taken off calling list). I Pressed 1. Guy with accent says, You called to lower your interest rate? I said no, to be placed on your no call list. He hung up on me. Saved his number in phone under junk caller hung / up on me. (I'm on the national no call list for years, with same phone number, for what good it does.) Peace.

Call was from India or at least that is the best I could make out of the heavy accent asking for my credit card!  At least speak English if you are scamming in the US.

Try to get your credit card info from you - they are a scam. They have called me 4 times from 4 different numbers. This was after I told them I knew they were a scam and not to call me again or I was going to file a police report. They just keep spoofing different numbers to harass me now. Best if you DON'T pick up, and block that one number. Don't hit "2" to "get taken off the list" all that does it show you have a working number and they will resell your phone number.
