This guy was named marcus hardy he said i got approved for seven thousand dollar grant but had to run out and buy a green dot money pack and load 99$ on it to register but the money is refundable why couldn't they just take out the seven grand if you was gonna get back any way please i want to know if they are legitimate

I got a similar call 3 days ago from a michael moore . He said i will receive a 7000 dollar grant if i load $ 250 on a green dot card. Sounds like a scam to me. Still doing some research on that #. Anyone else?

I got the same call today and I just ignore them.

i got the same thang about the $7000 but thay want me to pay $200, did you find out if its good or not?

The caller represents themselves as being representatives of the U.S. Federal government notifying citizens of eligibility for a one time, once in a lifetime grant of $7000. They say that all U.S. citizens are eligible for this type of grant one time to use for any purpose. The caller was heavily accented and reading from a script of some kind. It sounded like he kept losing his place. I was told to call (206)801-1824 as soon as possible because the offer was only good for receiving funds today or tomorrow. The call originated from (202)855-3333.

Yeah I just got a called from a ladie saying the same thing!

I got the same call to day saying I will get 7grand.  The caller was a  a voice that sound like it wasn't American voice.

this exact thing happened to me today and when I told him to take it out the 7 grand he got an attitude. I told him I thought it was a scam and to lose my number and he started yelling at me. this should be reported to the police immediately, before they scam someone into giving them their hard earned money.

No they are not.  Total scam.  Upfront fees for  loans are always illegal in most American states.  You can't get a grant unless you apply to a granting institution.   Total scam.  There's no grant and if you give them a green dot money pak your money is gone since the pak is untraceable!!

Rule:  If you get a cold call from someone with an Indian accent -- 1.  offering you something or 2.  threatening you, you know it's a scam.

They are calling from India.  They are Indian scammer/extortionists and as such beyond the reach of US law.  Block their calls.
