Canned message saying a law suit has been filed against me and that I should call 206.823.3906.  Voice sounded like it was computer generated and provided no ID.

Got the same message and call just now and looked it up as well! Seems like it's a scam. I am relieved that you are raising the same question.

IRS has filed a lawsuit against me.  Evidently Stephen Hawking works for the IRS, because that is who it sounded like.

I called the # back as I could not understand the voicemail. I got a man with a very East Indian accent that had my name with an old address and said I that a suit was being filed by IRS.  I could here lots of voices in the background.  I laughed because I'd heard of this scam and he seemed shocked. Then I hung up.

Same message as described above. It's the IRS lawsuit scam. These scumbags also use #646-568-1992. Too bad we can't execute these dirtbags. They prey on folks too stupid to realize it's a scam.

LOLOL.....so, I called these jokers back....got a little time to waste.   We went over all the "options"  I then told them, that as of now I was unemployed and needed healthcare...so how do I turn myself in?   I would be willing to go to jail for 2400.00 that is "Owed" and receive free healthcare, maybe learn a new profession and get some meals.....he hung up on me.   Then I called back 4 times and they hung up on me....it was actually quite entertaining.....

Ah, yes, Officer Eric Brown from the Legal Tax Restoolooton Department called looking for me AGAIN! I feel so popular!. Funny how the IRS employs only Indians or other foreign nationals. He asked my name. I gave him a fake one. He was so happy to hear from me because he had my case file right there! How very fortuitous since the name I gave I made up on the spot! I asked him where he was calling from and he said Washington DC. I asked him if he knew the difference between Washington DC and Washington State. That stumped him but he recovered quickly with an intelligent statement of, "There is no difference".  I said, :Oh, really? So you are calling from Washington in the District of Columbia which is located in Seattle, Washington?"  He said, "Of course". I then gave him a geography lesson at which point he called me a liar. I said, "Maybe next time you spoof a number you should Google it first and can you PLEASE stop using the name Officer Eric Brown or does everyone in your call center use that name, Raj?" He hung up on me. Golly, I cannot figure out why. Don't fall for these phonies who don't know the East Coast from the West Coast.  The IRS will not call you and they certainly won't come through on your Caller ID as Unassigned.  Be Safe!

Thank you for entertaining me and making me belly laugh.  I have always wanted to mess with them but I know it does no good -- always the next sucker is waiting.  And now I really know I can't do it because I could never ever do it as well as you did.  Thank you again.
