2 calls within an hour of each other. Each time a "voice" message was left using computer voice, saying I needed to call them back or the "cops" would come and get me. Same old scam except the replaced the guy with the heavy accent name "Steve Jones" with the computer voice. SCAM. DO NOT CALL, block their number.

Called saying the locals cops were coming to get me as I have four serious allegations against me.

The called and left a message saying I had 24hra before they called the cops and that they were the IRS. I actually called the IRS and before you can even talk to someone you go through a serious of automated voices. So I called the number back and they new my name without me telling them and said I owed 1000 dollars and some cents between 2008 and 2020 in taxes. I informed him and HR block does mine every year and they would have been motorized and I told him I already talked to the IRS to which he hung up on me.

another scam , dont be alarmed...they must think we dont know but we do...and spread the word...to others.

They said I had 24 hrs to call back or the local police would pick me up.... I didnt call back I know I don't owe anybody anything.

Computer generated voice saying they are with the IRS and gave a claim number.  Hung up and did not listen to the call.

I got a voicemail in my phone around 11 am today said local police would arrest me within 24 hours of my call! try calling the IRS to check this out but ofcourse it takes fore ever to get an answer!glad I found this site to reassure that this is just a scam ,what concerns me know is my identity!

I received this same type of call once yesterday and once today. Saying I would be taken under custody of the local police. But of course you can't call them back?

Also they left another number which connected me to someone with a heavy accent that didn't even know what I was talking about.

I am getting a call from 206-855-6576 telling me to call this number 210-418-5238 with in 24 hours or they will have the cops or local police department come arrest me for serious allegations. I have tried calling both numbers  back and no one answers or they number has been changed. I don't know who this people are but don't fall for this. IRS sends out letter's if they need something, and so does the courts. If you haven't received anything than don't fall for this scam.

They called me 2xs.   First time I told them I knew this was a scam 2nd time I played along with them for a while.   Wanted me to withdraw 683.00.   Yesterday was over 2,000 dollars.   Anyways I Told them I was at the bank and would take out money.  They told of me I couldn't tell them at the bank that I had to take out money to send to the irs because I was braking the law if I told anyone. After 20 min or so I finally ask if he needed my money for his family and he proceeded to call be nasty names.

Got a call from a computer saying voice mail saying they are the IRS I need to pay or the cops would come here. I got a call from a person with a Indian accent telling me I owe 8 k from 2008 and if I don't pay them on 1 hour I would have a police warrant out for my arrest and I will lose my job and he passed the phone to some one else acting like cop with a fake badge number he wanted me to go to the bank and take the money out while he stays on my cell phone and if I told somebody I would have to pay more. These scammers are looking for older people to scam it is a shame they get people scared with police more people need to report these scams they are use a spoof phone number. Be carefully and always tell some one about these type off calls no matter what they tell u. Scam

I'm getting same calls

Claimed to be the Irs and cops were going to arrest me. Regarding 2008 taxes

caller stated that if I did not pay the balance due in 24 hrs I will be going to jail.

Beware off this IRS phone scam the IRS sends out letter just like the court does and Google IRS phone scams and u see all the scams they do on people. I got the same calls as everyone else it was final notice law suit take a man with a heaven accent told me I would be going to jail in 24 hours if I do not pay them the money I owe I don't owe no money he told Me the bank would freeze my account this man even said I had 4 felony charges after I report them I was told it was scam I new it was more people should call your local police, newspaper, the the real IRS so others people will not get scammed.

Received a call from 206-855-6567, ID says Bainbridge I Wa....left a msg if I didn't call in 24 hrs, the local police would be at my door.....funny thing is I work with/for the local police....scam...just block the number....it was an automated msg

The same number called me this afternoon, and said the same thing about 4 serious alligations and that If I didn't call them in 24 hours that I would be taken into custody.

They keep telling me they are from the irs and I would be arrested within 24 hours. I actually talked to the guy and told him that I had already talked to the irs and I knew it was a scam but they keep trying any way.

I got the same exact call and thought it was funny that the irs would use the word cops instead of police dept.  LOL!!!  So I texted back as usual saying the cell phone belongs to a ten year old and is illegal to try and scam a minor.
