fake IRS calls

Call on answer machine about a case against me

This is BOGUS.  I received an automated call telling me to call this number because they were the IRS and were going to file a lawsuit against me.  I called the number, and a man with a heavy foreign accent answered, with no official greeting identifying who I was calling.  I asked "who am I calling?" and he said "IRS."  I said so you work for the federal government?  He said, "yes."  I said, "you do, do you.  May I please have your name?"  He hung up.  Completely bogus.  Don't even bother calling them back.  Had I sounded frightened or something they probably would have tried to extort money out of me.

Just received this call. The IRS is filing suit against me.

Just received a call from these jerks...FAKE I.R.S. automatic message. DO NOT CALL # BACK!!!

This number called my daughter and asked for my location because I owed money and if my daughter did not give my location right now she would get a warrant for my arrest! Totaly BOGUS!!!

The number called her twice, once it came up on her phone as it being from Egypt and the one she answered came up as coming from Washington, SAME NUMBER!

This is a scam

I got the same call said from Washington. Said had a lawsuit on me, they knew my name and address. They gave me a case number and named the four charges of fraud they had on me. They said I owed money and if I wanted to take care of it or get arrested and I said get arrested. He said ok the cops will come get me in one hour to arrested me, and I hung up. At the start of the call there was a lot of back ground noise like guys talking maybe on other phone calls it was weird!

1st call was a recorded message , 2nd caller, after me asking her name and a long pause, Sharon Smith.  I told her she was a fraud and this number is all over the internet as being fraudulent,  she hung up.  Dont you think if she wasnt a fraud she would try to defend herself,   Really ?
she said the the IRS is filing a lawsuit and I needed to pay them over the phone. NOT

I received a call from a man with a heavy accent stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. He also said that a arrest warrant will be issued if I did not  settle a $ 2000 claim against me. l Hung up and  called IRS hotline to report the scam.  Don't give out any important info to these people. The IRS doesn't  operate in this manner.

IRS I owe them money. This is a fake.

Received this call at 10:27am on 07/10/2015. The voice call was convincing and had me worried possibly about my school loans. I did not want to call the number because I figured that it was strange, I pay my taxes every year and my school loan was already deferred. I looked it up on here and was relieved to see that other people were claiming it was fake. In fact one person up towards the top of these comments stated that they called and it was a foreign guy that hung up the moment he asked for a name. Thank God, for the internet.

I actually am a federal prosecutor who works with the IRS.  This is definitely a fraud, and I called and told them who I was and that I had reported them.  It was clearly a foreign call center.  Please, no one fall for this scam.  Report it here: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Report-Phishing

I blocked the number. Received 30 calls on my home phone so I had the line stopped. I was unable to block the numbers on my home phone. This time it was a woman's voice. Before it was a man who spoke very poor English.

Phony IRS Threat

These jerks called my 18 year old son this morning on his cell phone claiming to be the IRS and threatened a law suit against him. He called me and I informed him that "the IRS will NEVER call you" They send a letter. I called the number and a woman with a Russian accent answered the phone in a thick accent "IRS" I could hardly keep from laughing. I asked whom I was speaking with and she gave me a name I could hardly understand. When I told her this was a fraudulent scam and they needed to cease and desist, I got dead air and then she hung up shortly afterwards. Thee people make me ill.

Just got a call from this number where an automated voice said I was involved with a lawsuit. I knew it was bogus and decided to look it up here to verify.
