An automated voice says it was the IRS. It looks like the bad guys are trying to get around the foreign accent tip-off.

Claimed to be the IRS filing a law suit against me ... today Tues, 10/20/15.

They called and first couldn't even understand what they would say then tried to play it off by having another conversation in another language

Got this call on 10-20-15 in Maryland.

Computer voice called me on 10-20 and 10-21. I called back on 10-21 and got someone at a very loud phone bank who repeated twice he was the Internal Revenue Service. I  live in SW Ohio.

we got several calls from this number saying they were the IRS and I was being sued when i asked for what they they hung up i called back they had a recording i then called from another phone number they answered right away saying i was being sued by the IRS and I needed to send money .  the guy that's answering the phone can barely speak english having a heavy accent.

i just got a call from this number saying they are the IRS and i was being sued ??? i called them back they said they are the irs and they are suing me.  this is a FRAUD !!!!

We received the same threatening call from someone claiming to be from IRS. Heavy accent, my boyfriend traced the call, and it is a VoIP call, with origin at IP 39.47.97.40. This IP is strangely in Pakistan, and our IRS do not have offices there in that Taliban-terrorists-infested moslem lawless state.

While my bf was tracing the call, the guy wanted money to settle the criminal case, by some kinda electronic transfer card. I could hear background noises too, sounded like traffic and some foreign language.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

They just called, I returned that call and speak to someone from another country telling me that I have defrauded the IRS and will be arrested in the next two hours unless I pay $8,552.00.  He was very rude and kept saying a law suit has been filed against me and I will be going to jail.

Got a call from this number - female voice claiming to be an IRS agent telling me to call back as a "lawsuit" had been filed against me by the IRS.

Got a call from a voice mail saying I owe the IRS money and I need to call this number back it was my final notice. I called them I knew it was a scam and wow this people have this all down back what to say to tru put fear In people to pay them. I was told the cops would show up in 1 hour and take me to jail and I owe money since 2009 ask if I had a lawyer and he passed the phone to some acting like a office. I hope more people go report this scam if they call you or some one you you no big scam the IRS will never call nobody.

Keep calling me even though I have told them I know you are a scam.  They just hang up and keep calling.  Very frustrating!  When I keep calling them back to say quit harassing me they just hang up.  They do say on the message that this is your final notice warning.  The Irs intends to file a lawsuit against me even though they hang up on me...........smh!  Get a real job!

Same as others a computer voice mail saying it was a final notice and gave me a number to call back this a scam do not call that number back. I called the number back and a guy with Indian accent told me I owe 4600 and wanted to pay him and told me if I didn't he going send the cops to my house it was very loud in the back round it sounds like a call center after I told him my lawyer will call him back he cursed at me and hung.  I just called the phone company they blocked the number and told me they get calls every day about this IRS scam.

They left message on my answering machine stating IRS is getting ready to file suit against me for fraud. I returned call but would not give them any of my personal info so they hung up. I called again & said I was recording the call & they replied I didn't need to since they were recording it to be used in court. They wanted to know when I filed my last taxes & when I would not give them the info they again hung up on me.  THIS SITE/PHONE # NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN & PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

I was just called by a computerized female voice that claimed to be from the IRS and that I owed them money. She said I should call them back at 206-900-9315. Needless to say, I did not answer the phone and don't intend to call them back.
