Says the irs has been trying to reach me and is filing a law suit against me.

This call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service is the reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 206-905-9743. I repeat 206-905-9743. Thank you."

I received the same type of call.  I called them back and informed them that the IRS does not make initial contact using the telephone.  The guy simply stated,"have a nice day" and immediately disconnected the call.

don't fall for this bogus call!  They are not the IRS!
I did not call them but I did google the number. ;-)

The message began in the middle of the recording:  ".....services is the reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 206-905-9743. I repeat 206-905-9743. Thank you."

I received a voicemail with the same message as others received.  IRS lawsuit.  I tried returning the call and the line was "busy".  

I received the same voicemail about five minutes ago. It was a female voice stating the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and telling me to call 206-905-9743 for more information.

Got this call yesterday. Since I have received no previous phone calls and no written notices from the IRS I figured this was a hoax of some sort. Probably trying to get Social Security numbers to match names.

I also received this call and said same thing about IRS lawsuit. I did not call back. A close friend of mine said Google it in search engine and I did. It says to report the number so I plan to. Do the same so they can catch them ! Terrible to scare people like that !

Same thing.  A recorded message saying they are the IRS.  This is a felony - get these people!!  The day after Thanksgiving and these criminals are out calling all over the country.  

Received message about IRS filing a lawsuit.  Returned call and man with accent answered "IRS what is the reason for your call".  I asked where I had reached and he started swearing and hung up.  Really? Nothing can be done about these scammers?  Call Type = Thief

I got the voice mail too. But one red flag off the message itself is that the female voice identifies the organization as "Internal Revenue ServiceS (plural..!).
