I received this SCAM recorded message about 30 minutes ago claiming that it was the IRS calling me as a final notice from their Criminal Investigation Department of IRS.  The voice is a computer that sounds human.

The CALLER ID shows that the person who really called is from a California Cell Phone number 714-201-6226.  This number is coming back as belonging to Sarah Dennis located at 7191 Syracuse,    Stanton CA per http://www.locatefamily.com/Street-Lists/USA/CA/90680/index208.html

THIS IS THE EXACT SCAM MESSAGE:

"Hello.  We have been trying to reach you.  This call is officially a final notice from Criminal Investigation Department of IRS.  Internal Revenue Services.  The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing [a] lawsuit against you.  To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 206-923-9561.  I repeat 206-923-9561.  Thank you."

Just got the exact same call.  It's a shame these low lifes can't find an honest way to make money!

How funny:  "this is final message from IRS".   Seriously?   What were the original messages?  Sad to think that some will actually fall for this.   As John Stewart recently said:    "Evil is only very limited.  Ignorance is epidemic."

I got the same message.  It was from (923) 569-3641 but left a message exactly like that listed in this thread and to call 206-923-9561.  Scam.

This call did not come from the person you mention.    This call came from either India or Pakistan.  You callers are  hard core scammer/extortionists who regularly spoof local numbers.  They are beyond the reach of US law.

Just got this call.  Has to be a scam.  I've dealt with the IRS in the past (and I don't wanna do it again) and they communicate RITUALLY thru the mail.

Originates in India or Pakistan.  They are spoofing local numbers.  The person you name is not involved.

Call blocker is your best bet.  Also do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

I just got the same notice

Yep, just got this call (have received it several times now - several different originating phone numbers) Today's call came from 713-201-1246. According to my caller ID it is a cell phone number out of Texas. Same mechanical voice, same bogus message as indicated by Anonymous.

I got the same call saying its the IRS. When I call back it's a busy signal.

Yes,  I received a voice automated call at 4:45pm (Minnesota) stating is was the IRS and they requested I call back immediately. I did dial the number but it only rang continuously and no one answered. Thanks for the warning.
