It was a robo call from the Maine Republican party with Barbara Bush as the speaker.  I hung up shortly after she started her endorsement speech but I'm guessing it was probably something about re-electing Paul LePage.  No problem at all with LePage but I'm tired of the numerous political and survey phone calls around this election.  Nope I don't have to answer it but if I don't and goes to my answering machine they know it is a valid number.  I usually just play them the three tone phone company line disconnected message which adds my phone number to their invalid number database if their robo computer is set up to accept that information.  Does seem to have cut down on the calls significantly.

They can't get along with themselves, let alone give us the representation they so blattenly promise us. I don't vote any more, and will continue not to vote. If there is an honest up standing candidate who will not pulverize his or her opponent, and put forth his or her's agenda, then step forward. The rest of you idiots, can get screwed.

Five phone calls per day from the Maine Republican Party this past week.  Really?  Enough is enough.  I am EXHAUSTED.  This is obnoxious, rude, and most of all, bothering my six-month-old.  Every time she tries to take a nap, it's like there's a built-in sensor - the phone will, without fail, ring from this number, waking her up every time.  Lovely.  It's time political parties were held to the same accountability as telemarketers - they need to start falling under the "Do Not Call" umbrella.
