- Tia| 1 replyThese people are a bottom feeder collection agency that resort to "scare" tactics with threatening legal action. First, if they were a reputable agency, they would not leave personal information in voicemail. Second, if they were reputable, you would be able to request a debt validation letter which is a requirement under the FDCPA and the agency, if upstanding, will provide you one by mailing, via U.S. Postal Service, not e-mail.
Read up on the FDCPA requirements and arm yourself with knowledge. They are hoping by calling with this type of scare tactic of threatened legal action they will get someone who is clueless and will be scared enough to provide them with their bank information. You are under NO obligation to give them your information, i.e. bank, confirming SS# etc. They are, however, required to provide you with written notification of the debt, the original creditor etc.- Caller: Scam Collection Agency

Their number is 2072210843. Reference your case number .......... noncompliance will result in order for your appearance this is our third and final attempt.

I have now heard that the sheriffs will be at my house to arrest me and then when I told her she is a bottom feeding piece of [***] all the said was "yo momma" Now tell me what kind of debt collector would say something like that if they were legit.... - Diane M replies to Michelle| 3 repliesI too received this message re Sheriff's office coming to my house, etc. The last time I received a call when I asked the person on the other end of the line what would happen when the sheriff arrived, she stated "You will be taken to jail." I then asked "Where?" There was a brief pause and then "What do you mean?" I then said "Where? I really need a vacation and if I'm going to jail I'd much rather go to somewhere like Malibu or Hawaii - some place where there's a nice breeze and an ocean view." At that point she hung up. If they call again, act really concerned and tell her that you want to take care of it immediately. When they ask for your bank account number, just say "1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . . 4 . . . . 5 . . . " When you get to about the number 5, they usually curse you and hang up - so much fun!!!
- toni l| 1 replyThey have called me three times in the past twenty minutes a huge FDCPA violation. Its a scam you have to be notified in writing they think we are dumb enough to pay them

- LiqueSo I've been getting these calls (a recent # is 207-221-0843) for about 2 years now, and I've yet to been picked up by the police and I've been patiently waiting. Maybe I should harass them and ask when their coming to get me? 1st off I'm not hard to find and very accessible, just google my first and last name. So if the cops really wanted me, trust me, they know where to find me. But of course these calls are not legitimate and all they want is my credit card info. I can't even go through all the hilarious phone calls I've had with them cause there's been so many, but I mess with them everytime because they think I'm stupid. They're are extremely unprofessional, they don't give you any valuable information as to their title/position/company (although confirmed they're not attorneys or detectives or any law enforcement agency), and apparently they're all going "to see me in court". Anywho, if anyone is concerned, have no worries. And do NOT give them your credit card info, this is illegal!
- Lique replies to Sue| 1 replyI received an IDENTICAL message, I've been receiving them for years now. It's a scam, please don't fall for it.

- Traci| 1 replyI get calls from 207-221-0843 @ least twice or three times a day, for the last two weeks.
They said I have done something fraudulent, which is a bunch of BS. They also told me
that I am going to get subpoena for civil court. They threatened me saying I would go to jail.
They threatened me by saying they will come to my place of employment. I requested everything
that they say they have against me to be mailed to me. I doubt I will get anything.
Good thing I know my rights. This is a SCAM!!!!- Call type: Debt collector
- chloe| 2 repliesI received a voicemail from a Tracy Davis stating that I had two pending legal matters against me and that I had fraudulent activity connected to my name and my SSN. I called back and a James Patterson answered and told me he was with ABO. When I questioned him further about their violation of the Fair Debt Collection practices he hung up on me. I called back and he answered, stated his name as James Patterson, and then hung up. The third time I called he answered and said he was James Patterson. When I asked him why he kept hanging up on me he claimed he had never spoken to me before and told me his name was Carlos Johnson, even though he had just answered the phone as James Patterson during that same phone call. He once again hung up and when I called back I got a Tiffany Daniels and she told me at first that their company was called Information Center, she insisted that was the actual name of the company and not just a department. Then she stated they were with the Attorney Network. After questioning her some more she just hung up on me. Three more calls to them, Tiffany Daniels answered each one and hung up right away. The next phone I got a hold of a Karen Carol who gave me a different company name that was not very clear. She told me it's their job to advise people of their rights before they proceed to take litigation against them. After questioning her for a minute she also hung up on me. I called back and Karen Carol once again hung up on me. Three more phone calls were answered by Tiffany Daniels before she put me on hold for 22 minutes. I will be filing a complaint with my state attorney general and I suggest anyone else who receives a call from these people do the same.

- Tiffany| 1 replySo I got a phone call from 207-221-0834 she told me they has a summons to have a court order be sent to my home or work. I was really freaked out at first because I had had a credit card with HSBC so I thought I didn't pay it when I was younger. I told her I had just received a phone call the day before for the same exact thing and she told me well it must be for a different case. I told her I couldn't pay anything but she told me if I made a good faith payment there law office would stop the summons and wait until I could make other payments on a prepaid debit card. I was still really freaked out thinking someone was going to show up at my work because how embarrassing would that be but thanks to you guys I googled this number only to confirm for me it was a scam I had an anxiety attack over these scum bags. I did call the ohio attorney generals office the FBI who told me what they threated me with was illigal and filed a report with FTC I would suggest anyone and everyone who gets these calls to do the same. The other number was from 206-430-5347 so becareful of that one also but the recording sounds like the exact same girl.
