I got a call at exactly 7:00 this morning.  They let voicemail pick up but left no message.  I live in Fl and I don't know anyone in Maine. I tried calling back but I hung up after one ring, I realized it could be one of those scams and did not want to risk it.

Called my business phone number
Me: Hello this is <first name>
Caller: Hello this is Danielle from Allstate roadside assistance
Me: yes?
Caller: sorry I have the wrong number / hang up

That is the call back number for Allstate Roadside Assistance. When you call they get your callback number and if the call is lost or dropped...they call you from that number. Legit.

Interesting.  People look things up because they want to know more or because they simply don't know.  Yet you knew everything there is to know about this phone number but looked it up anyway.  Now why would you do that?

I don't even own a car nor was I on the side of a road waiting for Allstate.
